A very good team beating a really poor one. Not remotely a shock. Villa currently level on points at the top. And the main plus factor for villa was hiring a competent manager. |

I used to love watching United play on Boxing Day!! Used to be United took 7-9 points over the holidays bc of the depth of squad.
Now I’m so used to this I found myself saying, well if it helps Villa pip Pool or City to title then it’s worth it. I guess the lack of disgust at losing is even worse. The opposite of love is apathy. And to quite Arnie Becker from LA Law many years ago- I’m overwrought w ambivalence about United…

He would probably get 3 months bounce maybe, get the shit players like dalot trying to win a new long term deal, then once they all get comfy again soon throw him under the bus, at this point the best thing to do is sack Eth the players have truly done him over, but we would end up with something shite like southgate.id rather we got relegated this year and was forced to sell all these players and start of fresh. No supposedly top club would continue with a manager that has a negative goal difference at Christmas. he’d have been gone in October. He ain’t turning this round. He isn't going to turn it around but also the likes of potter isnt going to come in and all of a sudden turn us in to some kind of football team again. The players need to be gone first and foremost. |

Emery sucked balls at Arsenal but since then he's really gone to another level as a coach. Either he's better at smaller clubs or he's learnt a thing or two. |

Mctominay and Antony incoming for the 2nd half no doubt as Hag is clueless and relies on Mctominay for goals and must play Antony as he signed him for a Kings ransom, Luckily sicknotes injured otherwise he would be on too. Villa are shaky at the back if we could pressurise them playing the ball out more.
If they get a third its all over though and now we must take chances going forward wich will leave space in behind for Villa to exploit.

Probably at his level, less pressure ect, loads.of managers and players do great at a certain level, but just can't make that leap up can they. It also has helped him the fact the players have clearly bought into methods. Also arsenal was a bit like us just a total mess at the time, it was possibly the wrong time for him to be at the club as well. |

I’ve never thought he played good football previously, but Villa are quite slick. Not tonight like, haven’t had to be. |
