I'm OK with him putting Rashford back in from a disciplinary point of view.
He's gotten shit about Sancho from some quarters, that he was too harsh and should have backed down. He's shown here with Rashford that the players just need to do the right thing in his eyes and he won't hold grudges. Rashford has apologised and took the punishment, so it's all forgiven and in you go. Clearly, Sancho just had to do the same thing and he'd have been given chances again in the team. He didn't so ETH stood his ground and fucked him off.
That's how it should be.
However, from a form point of view Rashford should be fucked off too, but that's a different story.

When Sancho went public ETH said you will publicly apologize.
