You might excuse it if his attacking play was any good, but he's never going to be good enough or anywhere near it. |

I was really keen to see us control it and kick on from 0-2, but it's worrying that it descended into the usual chaos. I suppose the result was good and we played some really good football at times.
We need to buy a class young CM to play with Mainoo for the rest of the decade and must upgrade our forwards especially Antony

Insane game, but again evidence on the lack of quality in the squad.
Starting 11 strong now, probably our best 11 out there tonight (could argue AWB instead of Dalot but they are pretty much as good/bad as each other). And clearly they can dominate teams as they did, and should have been 4 or 5 up before Wolves cheated to get back in.
But the bench; Antony, McTominay (yes fair play for the goal but he clearly isn't good enough), Maguire. It's shite. Forson just a kid so OK, always nice to see youth get an opportunity. Evans, played well all season but come on, he's 37 and really shouldn't be getting game time here.
We need a new CB, and a new CM, but honestly the talk of getting rid of Casemiro or Varane should be wide of the mark. Make them the bench options to support the 1st team, there's no point spending all the money on a couple of new stars but still having to bring McTominay or Maguire on when needed.
