Athletic are saying that a potential metatarsal issue was picked up during Yoro's medical. We pressed ahead because of his long range potential. But no surprise really he picked up an injury in the same exact area during pre-season. Hopefully the surgery fixes the issue. But it is a little concerning especially as our medical department hasn't exactly shown much past ability to manage injury prone players.

Another midfielder (Doure) joining PSG. Ugarte's exit getting closer?

He’ll surely be fine, can’t see this being something troubling in the long run. Rooney pretty much broke every bit of his foot across his career and he did alright. It’s risk vs reward. I was probably more concerned about Hojlund’s back being a red flag last summer than Yoro’s toe. Having said that, we do have a bloody sketchy record going back decades. Hargreaves and Michael Owen both got through medicals when we were still a good side. Van Persie probably the best example of medical issues being ignored. He’d really only managed 18 months injury-free for Arsenal in his whole career before we bought him. Fergie said in his book that Wenger was kind/stupid enough to clue him in on how RVP could train without becoming injured.

Ramos fractured his ankle for PSG, they’ll need a striker. Even more reason to sell Ugarte now possibly.

Blame Beckham, wasn't even a thing until he did it

this is what I'm really getting at. We asked RVN to wait as he was injured.
Like you said, I'm sure he'll be fine however it is a worry.

Would rather keep him than have Antony around.

Pellistri, Lindelof and Scotty all in play. Should really be able to get around £40m for all three. And that should remove any meaningful FFP constraints and allow us to push ahead with the Ugarte deal and perhaps even have enough left for the Turkish left-back.

I think we could definitely do with both... Edit: However, I might be in the minority that quite likes Pellistri...

I think a lot of people rate him and wonder why he wasn’t given the opportunities that donkey Antony was.

Mail saying we’ve bid for Berge but they won’t move from 30 million.

Pellistri isn't going to get the regular gametime he needs to progress with Rashford, Garnacho, Sancho and Amad ahead of him.
Best to make sure we insert a good sell-on clause so that if Pellistri can succeed and earn a move to a much bigger club we will get an extra chunk of cash. And hopefully any upfront cash we get from him will help us to land a defensive midfielder this summer.
Personally I would also send Antony out on loan. Perhaps like Depay he will benefit from stepping down a level. And it would irritate me if Erik's determination to prove a point out Antony restricted Amad's minutes.
£30m for Berge is ridiculous. I would rather we pay up for Ugarte. There are ways around FFP. And with Danilo injured and Fofana going to AC Milan and Atlanta not wanting to sell Ederson there are very few other alternatives.
