Thought I would get in early as it’s bound to be interesting…

Trying to be realistic.
Out:
One of AWB or Dalot. Maybe 20M for either. Maguire - 20M McTominay - 40M Donny - 5M Amrabat - End of loan Hannibal - 15M Pellestri - 10M Sancho - 40M (hopefully) Martial - free
I don't see ETH selling Rashford, Antony or Onana. I can see Varane signing a new deal on reduced terms.
So 150M brought in, maybe a bit more if some other young kids sold off like a Hugill, McNeil, Gore etc.
That gives probably about 225M to spend, as don't see net spend being too much (seen some talk of 150M+ to spend before sales, I very much doubt that).
In's, RB, CB, CM and back up forward an absolute must. New 'keeper is needed but if Erik sticks with Onana then prob not gonna happen. RB a must only if one of the current 2 leave, but we really do need to update that position. New wide forward needed too, but not as essential as CB and CM, for me.

New contract for Mainoo and a 1Billion£ release clause.

Definitely a major refresh on midfield. Build one around Mainoo, let's try and set him up for success. An able deputy for Bruno, as surely he can't do a 5th straight season without injuries. I think Mctominiay has probably done enough to have a stay of execution leaving, especially if the rumoured Ineos British bias is correct.
A centre forward is another must, I think Hugill could do a job here, but expecting a 21 year old Hojlund and untried prospect isn't the way to go. Who that is, no idea, maybe scour the South American leagues for a new Cavani or the like.
A new keeper for me is a must, never rated Onana, thought he might come good, but nah. That's not happening though.
A new right back and 2 centre halves as well.
So basically, a whole new side, but it's important we add quality this summer, before adding any depth in 2025.

Think Antony is a decision that will be taken away from ETH. IF Rashford and Garnacho perform INEOS won't allow for a backup that expensive who's level is not good enough for the premier league. I also expect Cssemiro to be sold. Summer should see 2 mids come in, striker, rb and CB if not 2. We should also get some money for greenwood if sold

We aren't selling Maguire. He's made it clear he doesn't want to go and is under contract. And he seems happy to play a backup role and doesn't seem to get injured. And SJR likes British players. And he's been a lot more solid this season.
The rest looks pretty reasonable to me. I'd be incredibly disappointed if we failed to sell Scotty as there is a major FFP benefit from doing so as he is homegrown. £40m is a bit optimistic. He is a trier and can score the occasional goal but he is bang average. £30m seems achievable though.
We will probably also be able to get £40m for Greenwood (although apparently 25% of any transfer fee has to go to Getafe). Again major FFP benefit.
Sancho we might have to subsidise a sale as even though clubs will be interested no one is going to pay his wages and I cannot see him wanting to go to the Middle East. But we will still clear a decent amount.
Varane and Casemiro I would also look to sell for the right price.
Antony I think we will need to loan out next season. I cannot imagine there being much interest in him unless we offer him at a fire sale price.
I'd also sell AWB if we can buy an upgrade and there seems to be some interest in him.
Good test for the new set-up. But really it should be easily achievable to raise at least £100m from player sales.

In order of priority (and as you get lower down the list it will depend on how we do on player sales) 1) CM to play alongside Mainoo 2) CB to play alongside Martinez 3) Back up CF to provide competition for Hojlund (and ideally versatile enough to provide cover on the wings as required). 4) Back up CM (to replace Scotty) 5) A proper winger (although would like Amad to be given a bit of a chance first. Eze and Olise obvious candidates) 6) A good 2nd keeper so that if Onana continues to disappoint in his second season we have an alternative option 7) A RB (can probably sell AWB to raise funds for this)
And we might need to be opportunistic i.e., if no-one is available at the right price and right quality for one of these positions then instead of buying someone overpriced and mediocre just because then strengthen another position.
We need a full refresh and that will take a few seasons so we should plan accordingly rather than going for short term fixes.

Forgot about Greenwood. Yeah he'll be gone, I can't imagine him ever coming back here, so there's another 30M or so you'd hope. McTominay really should be 40, the club rejected 30 last summer and he's had the best goal scoring season of his career this season, that should be enough to drive his value up.

So we didn’t sign a striker and we need backup…
Could Omari Forson be the answer?
I would like to see him get a go as a substitute but with some decent playing time…

We are really gonna need to grab 1 to 2 Young CB talent in the summer We do have Kambwala… Is he someone ETH is ready to put at the forefront of guys like Evans, Lindelof, and Mcguire because he sees that in Garnacho, Mainoo, and Hojlund. Still rating Antony ahead of Amad which is problematic in itself, but I am looking at Antonio Silva and/or Jean-Clair Todibo to leads the next wave of Young Talent for this club. Maybe he rates Kambwala high but is easing him in and I am perfectly ok with that, but I want to see a lot more of him by the end of the season before holding off on the other 2 i mentioned

Just needs to be able to show what he can do. So ETH needs to put him on ahead of Evans and Lindelof…

Some talk of Eriksen to Galatasaray on a loan + option to buy deal. Makes a lot of sense and we could probably get at least £10m for him.

I've said this every year for about a decade, but outgoings are as important as incomings this summer. We've finally made some progress the past year or two, but more to be done.
