Mbappe leaving PSG in summer then, could jim pull it off! Doubtful but we can dream He’s Madrid bound so I can’t see this new competent team making the same stupid mistakes i.e. chasing players that have no intention of coming here (fabregas,FDJ etc.) or actually signing players that really don’t want to be here(Di Maria) that Woodward and his band of merry men did.

Mbappe leaving PSG in summer then, could jim pull it off! Doubtful but we can dream Whoever is letting Mbappe leave for free.95 needs to be fire from that club. Literal bag of cash walking to Madrid for nothing or than not having to deal with his pre madonna attitude and demands anymore which might be worth it's weight in gold. He will learn that shit don't fly at Madrid.... Ronaldo couldn't even play that game there.

His people told him that the extension was the last contract he’d ever sign for them and they went along with it. The person letting him leave for free cannot be fired because he owns the club.

Mbappe is probably the best player in the world but there’s no way ten Hag can handle his ego and the other nonsense that comes with him.

Mbappe is 100% locked in for Real. I'd be stunned if he went anywhere else.
Interesting to see if PSG do move for Rashford to replace him, as they have a long touted interest. And if the club would sell (price depending of course). He's hardly set the place alight this season, and as a youth teamer the money could do wonders for FFP.

The way forward for me are Martinez and Rasmus type signings to play alongside youth like garnacho and mainoo.

We should try to flog them Rashford when Mbappe leaves and buy Olise or Eze along with someone like Toney or Watkins who would be a reliable back-up striker and be OK playing second fiddle to Hojlund. Fergie knew well that scoring goals in the Premier League isn't easy so wasn't averse to buying Premier League proven strikers from smaller teams e.g. Yorke, Saha, Cole, Berbatov etc.
And I think this summer we need to play it safe in the transfer market. We are revamping our recruitment team and they are not getting much time to plan for the summer and Erik is reportedly reluctant to cede much control. So a good compromise would seem to be to go for some Premier League players that Erik will be familiar with from his two seasons here that can add some quality and depth to our squad and hit the ground running.

Still not getting the Olise and Eze tunnel vision by some here. We think Martial and Sancho are laissez faire... And you're not buying Toney or Watkins as backup. Goodness me.

We've wasted about £200m on wingers. So getting someone who is doing the business in the Premier League and will be available for a reasonable price (I think one of them has a release clause) doesn't seem like a bad idea.
In 1999 we had Yorke, Cole, OGS and Sheringham. Of course back then we played two up front. But I don't see why we cannot have two good strikers. Rashford is crap upfront. Martial is leaving in the summer. Greenwood will be sold. Hojlund is clearly going to be first choice. So what we need is someone who has consistently scored goals and is a good team player and happy to play a squad role. And Premier League proven is an advantage. Who would be your suggestion as a striker signing this summer?

IMO humble opinion Garnacho and Diallo on the right works for me. I genuinely think Garnacho just gets better and better with coaching and mindset.
On the left if and big IF Rashford gets some form he will play on the left and start, it's a case of who on the left will push him

Dunno if Mount could maybe provide some competition on the left. Not sure he really fits into a central midfield that includes Bruno and for Chelsea he was effective on the flanks
