In mitigation, ETH was finished answering questions before that question was asked. The presser was over before the question was snuck in there. It’s a bit like claiming I stormed out of work when I left bang on 5pm on Friday. He didn’t like the question though clearly. However, I really think it’s over for him now. That’s clear to see. I think we’ve seen the usual from most of the players, not taking any responsibility, foot completely off the gas when we drew the shittest team left in the FA Cup. They’ll measure another final defeat as a successful season. But his tactics etc have been found woefully lacking. There’s more to this than just the players not playing for him. I’m not even sure they’ve fully turned on the bloke tbh. They’ve switched off, but I’m not sure they’re actively trying to get him sacked. That’s what’s going to happen though because he’s not going to be capable of saving himself with the way he sets the team up and his in-game management. I agree, the players haven't given up on him. Not buying that. They obviously gave up on Ole and Moyes but I don't see that on this occasion. |

Garnacho liking negative posts about ETH and the story post may get over with the young fan base that think this shit is ok, but the supporters that are loyal to the club for longer than both of them have been alive will not take litely to it. What we need is another right winger and a massively overpriced English center back, along with another past his peek 30 year old box to box midfielder and a 35+ striker loan deal. Then we can sack the next manager, following dressing room revelations after 2 years and do it again.
Rinse and repeat. If it's not broken don't try to fix it!

You have to hand it to Emery though. He has done a great job at Villa, they are going to the CL next year and taken 6 points off Arsenal, probably cost them the League. He got fired in his second season because a bunch of overpaid wankers couldn't follow his instructions and got him the sack. It all changed when Arteta under new directors were given the authority and time to make the changes, but it took him 4 years.
Arteta 8th, 8th, 5th first 3 years. He wouldn't have lasted 1 year with us

Exactly. I don't think we can rely on great recruitment to get us out of this mess. Especially as we will take a financial hit from failing to get past the knockout stages of the Champions League this season and failing to qualify for the Champions League next season and will have the usual problems trying to raise money selling deadwood.
