Sorry no. He’s not just a player if he’s got the armband. If he’s got that responsibility he’s got to show he’s willing to do the dirty work. For starters, he should be bollocking that cunt Rashford after the first 15 minutes. We had standards of once. Keane would have decked him. This is the issue for me with Bruno. Quality player yes, captain? Absolutely not. Imagine Keane or Vida in this situation, he's be screaming at them. Too busy flapping his arms and whinging to the ref. Love the guy but him as captain is another thing that's harming us. There's no on field organisation, which is down to the captain. Who would you have as captain? I genuinely can’t think of any player I would give the armband to instead of Bruno. Varane just doesn’t play enough. Casemiro has been disgraceful this season. Rashford is a huge let down. MCT doesn’t start I can’t think of any other candidates |

Feel bad for Coventry. Played a better match. How does VAR call no handball one day and yes the next? The inconsistency is crazy. That was barely off side. Craig Burley giving it to United/ saying they are a disgrace to the club. I don’t mean to be pedantic but you’re either offside or not. Barely doesn’t come into it. With VAR it all comes down to the person in booth. When they decide to stop video and the draw lines. That is a variable. Then it’s a matter of a program deciding how to adjust for parallax. They don’t have a straight angle. There is more variability. My profession relies on optics, So it’s not just a simple yes or no. I’m so dubious about FA I would t be surprised if they prefer a shootout. I just think VAR is sold as clearing up obvious missed calls. It just doesn’t do that yet. And the handball rule is so dependent on soft interpretation, that it lets Grealish off the hook. I dont see any difference btw AWB and that play but one is called and one isn’t. The inconsistency is the problem. Not saying goal should have stood. Just too many controversies. In old days u could just say ref was bent and move on. VAR isn’t doing the job |

Might not be the best candidate in an ideal world, but we are in the situation we are in and we have to work with what we have. He’s the only one who cares when we lose, runs more than anyone and critically he’s the only player in the squad who is fit consistently. Not important from a captaincy perspective this, but he’s also the only player in anything that resembles form at the minute. |
