Why? He’s within his remit to ask him that. I expect it from Talksport, since when did the BBC start discussing rumours?

Nothing wrong in varane being moved out, his quality has never been in doubt and the problem is replacing him with some cheap and out of contract random guy just because he may be younger.
There is no replacement for class.
On Amrabat, he did well, but we still need better quality, someone who can hustle like him and better on the ball

Martinez is the key to everything we try to do. Cannot remember a player more important since Fergie retired.

Martinez is the key to everything we try to do. Cannot remember a player mor3 important since Fergie retired. Martinez, Mainoo, Bruno, Garnacho & Hojlund is the spine for me next season. Need to fill in and build around that.

What a fantastic end (presumably) to Evans’ career, at least with Utd. The piss was taken when he signed but he did brilliantly every time he was asked and it should warm the heart of every Utd fan to see a great servant bow out with an FA Cup winners medal.
For one last time- fuck Van Gaal.

Rashford emotional at the end. I’m hoping all of this and missing out on euros will wake him up a bit! We need that 2023 Marcus !

Agree with you. Unfortunately it is Ten Hag's Achilles heel. Key man risk. When he has his first choice XI available and Martinez in particular available we are a good team that can challenge for domestic cups and finish top 4 and beat anyone on our day. But all it takes is for a few key players to lose form or get injured and we turn into a midtable team that goes toe to toe against relegation fodder and needs Fergie time to get a result. And that inconsistency may well cost him his job. Will that change if we flesh out the squad and recruit some good young players that Erik approves of? Will Erik be allowed to insist on players of a particular profile or are Ashworth/Wilcox not willing to do the manager's bidding and want to run the show? And will Erik ever learn to be more adaptable with his tactics and learn to make do when he is missing key players? Tough questions to answer and maybe it is all academic if the decision has already been made. Martinez is the key to everything we try to do. Cannot remember a player mor3 important since Fergie retired.

Can we offer the European place back to Newcastle?

Absolutely. He's been a model pro for us this season and stepped in when required. We should have never ever let him leave in the first place. And perfect send off for him. Those final minutes of the game were squeaky bum time and City smelt blood but Evans held strong. Will be sad to see Varane leave as well. Such a good player. We talk about how good Martinez is but he's always looked at his best paired with Varane and will be interesting to see how he does with a new central defensive partner because there even today there are few defenders in the world better than Varane on his day and he's put in some incredible performances for us over the last few seasons. What a fantastic end (presumably) to Evans’ career, at least with Utd. The piss was taken when he signed but he did brilliantly every time he was asked and it should warm the heart of every Utd fan to see a great servant bow out with an FA Cup winners medal. Isak + release Ashworth from his gardening leave in return for European place seems a fair trade to me. Can we offer the European place back to Newcastle?

FA Cup Champions!! Congrats to the squad especially the youngsters. Have been critical of ETH, but he has my respect that he won two cups in his two years. Up to INEOS to decide if they give him one more year… I don’t get paid to decide that’s . I just get to ride the emotional roller coaster that is United now.
