I’ll also add the post match was a disgrace. Nearly 0 questions about the game. Just hounded the man. We wonder why our national team play like they have bricks in their shoulders… media here are fucking vampires Linekar and Shearer were a pair of pricks with it aswell. Just won the cup, pet them enjoy it and address everything else another day. Shearer gutted because Jonny Evans won an fa cup and he didn’t. Bitter prick

Couldn't handle staying up just to see the inevitable embarrassing performance and result. Also didn't just want to go straight to the BBC and see the headline "City humiliate awful United". So I woke up and just went straight to page 1 on here. Thought at least that way I'm reading real time updates from fellow reds. Thanks to you all, with each passing page I was thinking "We're winning? We're fucking winning! And playing well?!" Fuck yes! Brilliant. I don't follow football like I used to but days like this really bring out the buzz again. You beauties!! You down under mate? I am, Melbourne. Makes it easy to avoid the City/Liverpool love in but I miss being home days like this. I just want to drink but it's 7am here!

I’m away with a group of friends in country NSW and the sketchy Wi-Fi gave me the perfect opportunity not to bother trying to stream the game. Woke up to see such positive news and have thoroughly enjoyed reading the comments on here.
I’ll take the win, the Euro spot and the relegation of Newcastle and Chelsea’s European campaigns and bask in it all day!
If ETH is to leave, at least he can do so with his head held high.

Anything i should avoid in Melbourne? Tourist trap wise Depends what you're after, the likes of Chapel Street, Collingwood, Brunswick are very Bohemian, lot of shopping and places to eat and drink. St Kilda is the go to for backpackers, full of Brits as well as druggies. Dendenong Ranges are beautiful. Ballarat and Bendigo nice little gold rush towns with a relaxing vibe. Go catch a game at the MCG, great stadium and always helps that you can sit and have a beer in your seat. The Mornington Peninsula is a lovely drive, I live along that way, drive along the coast the whole way.

You haven’t a clue if you genuinely have this opinion on Shearer. We were close to signing him twice but Blackburn in their jack walker days outbid us and he chose his hometown club Newcastle over us the second time. had we bagged him we’d have been even more dominant in our heyday. he was streets ahead of any of our 4 strikers that won the treble.

I don't think he was suited to the kind of football we played tbh, although SAF tried hard to sign him. I think its lunacy to so severely underrate a guy who regularly bloodied the likes of Adams, Stam, Keown and other bruisers around him. His style of play is not something Licha or Varane or a fucking 40 year old Jonny Evans could cope with, not a fucking chance.
