How is it a piss take? He was touch and go to be back for the end of the season then had a setback. Southgate has taken a risk on him because he’s England’s only left back.

Shaw himself has said that the injury occurred because we asked him to come back too early and he isn’t going to say no if asked to play. If anything is a piss take, it’s probably that.
