What a finish from Watkins. I never thought he'd score from there. Superb.

🤞🏻for the final but Neville crawling up Southgate’s backside is something else. The better team tonight but lucky to be here despite this team being better than the manager overseeing them.

Definitely England's best game. The Dutch never really played positively and got what they deserved. Fuck all.

Great finish by Watkins and overall they deserved the win. But by christ that penalty was a scandalous decision.
Thought the Netherlands were so negative aswell, especially in the first half.

Great finish by Watkins and overall they deserved the win. But by christ that penalty was a scandalous decision. I get it, but to the letter of the law if a foul would be given on the field of play, the penalty should be given for the same infringement in the box. I don’t think anyone would have thought twice if it was given as a foul outside the box. He followed through (inadvertently or not).

Watkins and shaw have to start in the final.
With Kane generally lumbering about the place and trippier just being shit we can’t let Spain have a goal or 2 start.
Let’s see if he has the bottle to do it.

Watkins and shaw have to start in the final. With Kane generally lumbering about the place and trippier just being shit we can’t let Spain have a goal or 2 start. Let’s see if he has the bottle to do it. Shaw is about three games behind where Southgate wanted him to be fitness wise at the start of the tournament. He doesn’t traditionally come back firing on all cylinders either. You could see that last night. The balance was better down that side, but he only really properly went forward two or three times. The quality when he did that was evident. He was always going to play whatever the amount of minutes Southgate thought he could manage last night. He may start the next game. Kane will keep his place. Southgate will probably be less wary of taking him off now though having won a shootout without him and having had one of his replacements score a last minute winner. I thought there was more space for him to drop in during the first half and that was the best England have played. He was visibly knackered by the hour mark though, if not before.

It’s hard to argue with Southgate’s record but still think he’s poor tactically.
The last 35 mins of the first half yesterday was the only time in the tournament that they’ve looked a good side. Every other game has been about individual moments from very good players and they’ve not even played a particularly good team yet.

Hard to see anything other than Spain winning it. They’re far better tactically.
Although I would fucking LOVE my boy Kobbie adding another trophy to his cabinet. What a fucking stud he is.

It is a tough one.
PROS: Enjoy having 2 Euros 24 winners in our squad Enjoy having the whole world recognize how damn good Mainoo is Feel some patriotic pride and joy and possibly get a bank holiday thrown in
CONS: Give INEOS a readymade excuse to appoint Southgate if next summer's end of season review goes badly for Erik Endure a media love-in and the inevitable knighthood of Southgate for winning a competition that has been about the same level as the Europa League

We have gone from Iceland 2016 to a World Cup semi and now back to back euro finals. I don’t give a fuck what people think about Southgate because that alone is a minor miracle. You can debate about luck he’s had etc but at the end of the day as fans he’s given us so many “moments” that you and your friends can talk/ reminisce about for years to come.
He took over a side hated by most and moulded them into a very likable squad for 6 years now. Most importantly he seems to have made that shirt a little lighter to wear.

It was a pen all day long. Studs up, caught his foot, didn’t play the ball. Don’t know how people can’t see that.
Spain are better tactically but I’d say our forward players are superior

I was with a bunch of England fans in a pub and nobody thought that was a penalty

Regardless of when he kicked Kane. But it was actually as Kane was shooting. He was late with studs up and didn’t touch the ball. It’s a foul whatever way you look at it, inside the box or not.
