Confusing thing with Casemiro is he usually pushes further forward than Mainoo and often Bruno too. If he just sat in midfield, it wouldn’t be anywhere near as bad. He has no discipline at all. Whether it’s positionally, or on the ball. Trying to play stupid passes every time he gets it.
He’s beyond finished. He’s clearly slimmer this season. But the damage was done between seasons one and two. No discipline in his diet either clearly. Too late to come back slimline now. Too old to claw it back. It’s gone.
Game was lost in the midfield again. With mistakes and the setup/personnel being too easy to walk through. In addition to that Dalot couldn’t cope with Salah, because he’s also shite, also has no discipline and in mitigation Salah looks excellent again. The new RB went missing also. But the ball doesn’t find its way out wide if you’re not being overran in midfield.
I’ve not seen anything of Ugarte. I’m sure he’ll make a difference. But he can’t fix our problems on his own.
Liverpool have considerably better players than us. They’re a much better side. To win the game we had to be tactically smarter than them and ride our luck. We didn’t manage that.

The smart money is you give it to ruud, he was clearly brought in as the back up option I would have thought, but we need some new ideas and we need them quick.

We do need new ideas and a new set up, it has to happen but also, we’re relying on so Many you youngsters in such important positions it’s still not going to be an overnight fix, Erik need to go, and then 2 new wide forwards, another midfielder at least after ugarte and a top Centre forward which I don’t think we have either |
