Take the win along with a half decent second half performance but that just shows the standards are through the floor at the moment.
In years gone by we’d have looked on today as a slightly below par performance.

Just frustrating that they can do that in the 2nd half. Played like an actual team and for parts ripped Brentford to bit.
Think words need to be had with this medical team aswell. Pathetic De Ligt went off 3 times without being patched up properly. Didn't cause the first goal, but didn't help it either. That was on Dalot losing his man.
Thought Garnacho was dangerous everytime he had the ball, but really does need to start looking up and around more. Found it frustrating how wasteful he was in the first half. Took his goal well though. He has all the tools to become a world class star.
Fair play to Rashford aswell. Gets a lot of shit and rightly so but he put in a shift today, even on the right which isn't his favoured side.
Not getting carried away at all by this, we've been here many times before. Want to see more of the 2nd half though and maybe we'll start to see something coming together.

Must have given the forwards a right root up the arse at half time. They did nothing in the first half but were aggressive in the second and two really good goals. There were a lot of chances still spurned though, but they will get some confidence from that!
I thought we defended well again, despite the mayhem with de ligt. We didn't give them much really. Hopefully they can keep it up, but with no left back, Maguire and Yoro out Mainoo for 7 games and no real back up striker it's going to be hard.
It might be hopium, but I still think once we get players back and Ugarte has more time to settle, we will have a better second half of the season, if we can keep pace until then.
