Gyokeres needs to be the first signing in the summer, we need goals, sell zirkzee and rasmus will need to improve and earn a place in the starting 11
We need to remember he couldn't do it on a cold wet night in Coventry.

Seriously, though, to anyone who can decode football: did he change anything apart from their attitude? In the first half, Sporting had 5 defenders deep and City camped on the edge of the Sporting penalty area. That didn't happen at all in the second half.

Now good luck to him getting this lot to put in the work rate like that consistently.
Hope he's the no nonsense coach we've been led to beleive he is. He'll need to be with some of this lot.

All of our players should be made to sit down and watch that the match last night, and if they are not prepared to put in that effort and work rate then the can get fucked off.

There’s similarities with Gyokeres and Hojlund and with some better coaching / foundations Hojlund can be a superb player. The beauty is he has time and age on his side.
Gyokeres is 26 coming into his peak. A perfect signing and balance of a forward line. Add in that young kid they signed from arsenal.
Amorim has said Gyokeres won’t be going anywhere until the end of the season tho which is fair enough.

Maybe Anorim can change Hojlund’s positioning slightly? Or perhaps he can get other players to actually pass and cross the ball. |
