Who says hes trying to sign Torre? Thats just specualtion. Key is midfield. Despite 20 odd goals ita been apoor season for RVN. Hes looked a LOT slower than of old & cant trouble defences one on one anymore. His record speaks for itself but his attitude hasnt been great lately & he does look slow, thats undeniable. Furthermore the team seems to be playing better without him. If he goes I wont complain too much, it has not been a brilliant season for him despite a good record. Maybes its time. Certainly not SAFs fault if he leaves. The rumours linking Torres with us have been going for about a year. Chances are there is some truth to them. My opinion on the issue remains consistent. I believe Ferguson leaving Ruud out for so many games was cynacle after he's scored 21 goals, but Ruud shouldn't have reacted the way he did. Ferguson will (wrongly) take the brunt of the blame, especially if he doesn't adequately replace him. And to those who think Saha is up to the job, i really don't think he is, although i hope you're right. I'm of the opinion of if it aint broke, don't fix it. And who gives a fuck if Ruud is almost 30? 29, he's in his prime, the day he hits 30 he's past it? Nah, we'd get another solid 2 years out of him.

crappy reaction by Ruud, i think now he's definitely going. In a way it could be good for the club if we get a replacement who plays a different style to him- perhaps somebody with lots of pace? I thought that we were becoming too predictable with him in the side, and if the wide players aren't producing Ruud more often than not looks like a dead elephant up front because he rarely involves himself in the play. He's the best finisher, but if he has an off day with his shooting he has nothing else to offer the team.
