I heard a story last season that Real Madrid were looking to sign Ronaldo and turn him into a superstar at the Bernabau by transforming him into a Centre forward as Wenger did with Henry whom incidently used to be a left winger when he bought him from Juve. Now here's a idea for next season We sell Ruud for whatever the goin rate is for a horse thats lame. (Love Ruud really) We buy Riqueleme and a DM and play Ronaldo up front Team could look like this ---------------------------VDS------------------------------- Nev-----------Rio-------------Vidic/Brown-----Heinze Riqueleme ---- DM ------Giggs/Scholes -----Park ---------------Ronaldo----------Rooney----------------- It's only a suggestion so don't just rubbish the idea I honestly think it looks frightning you mix the midfield up as Giggs/Park and Riq could play in 3 positions each and we have the option of Saha or Rossi up front

Didnt our Ronnie play upfront for Lisbon? I suppose it can be done but Riqueleme on the right wouldnt work I dont think.
If that did happen, I think you'd see Park and Giggsy on the wings.
Anyways it wont happen, my sisters, boyfriends, uncles, decorators milkman delivers for Fergie and during a little chat yesterday morning he mentioned something about Shevchenko and £40 Million??
;D

I don’t think Ronnie is accomplished enough to be upfront, his finishing that is. He’s only young, ‘train’ him up to be a striker and in the mean time bring someone else in who can score us goals, then who knows, but I personally believe he likes running at people, beating them on the wings and in midfield too much to become a striker.

Rony did play down the middle for Lisbon! I think it's not a bad Idea, could definately work. For some reason I don't think we get the best out of him on the right wing.

Id personally like to see Ronaldo improve on his crossing, thinking, and determination more than playing upfront. I think we'l get more out of him on the right side of midfield.

Great, great player Andriy Mykolayovych Shevchenko is. Although he’s on the verge of turning 30 soon and at his peak or not, I think we need someone younger. Would I still turn him down, would I bollocks. Perhaps a price cut from 40 million though.

My only problem with this is that Ronaldo doesnt get enough shots on target. He probably has about 5 or 6 shots on goal in a game, and although I'm not expecting him to score every one of them, he should be hitting the target...and far too often they go miles over the bar.

His long shots are sparadic. He either thumps them in like a thunder bolt or they end up in row z there's no happy medium! But he can finish, and he's got a decent head on him. I just feel he's not QUITE reaching his potential on the wing!

Shever's up front, no worries. Watching him last night when he was playing up front (accepting the context of testimonial and shit opposition) i thought that perhaps Ronnie could be an option. Certainly got bags of pace and i reckon his shooting could be fine-tuned like how Terry Henry's was.

Easy peasy ey mate Ronnie upfront is definatly an option but id much rather him stay on the wing...

When Ronaldo was banging them in in feb/mar most of his shots were on target.
I think he gets too excited at the minute, if he was playing up front and he'd soon calm down a bit and finish like he did last night, that finish was a cool as a cucumber.
You have to weight it all up though, Rooney and Ronaldo up front will miss a hell of a lot of chances, but they will probably have more chances per game which could balance everything out.
