i think theres huge misunderstandings goin on here, and stuff we jus dont understand.. sure, any of u, were u given the opportunity to sign for utd, u would do, in a heart beat. and thats how mikel felt, with utd bein such a big club over there.. he wanted to play for utd. not sayin cos hes 18 it means he has the right to act like a child.. but u forget wot kinda influences ppl can have on u. if u were 18 and signed for one firm.. and ur parents are tellin u to sign for another, someone who is very close to u and who u trust (like his agent) is sayin the same thing, and ur getting death threats about it.. and ur gonna earn more money at the other firm, then u'd say u want to sign for them.. im not trying to make excuses for the lad.. but i dont think theres any need to completely over react and look at the whole thing jus from one pov. if he ends up at utd he'll play jus as well for us as he would for chelsea, so lets jus wait and see wot happens. Yep, I agree with that. If he signs for Chelsea he'll be a twat, but if he signs for us, I'm ready to give him the benefit of the doubt.

I’m not excited about the whole transfer to us anymore. I was, don’t get me wrong, he looked a real talent. Though he’s lacking match fitness as Scott mentioned, and his mind is no doubt going to be elsewhere until everything is settled. If he comes to us, then fine but if he doesn’t; then I don’t really care.

It's stupid that its gone on this long, but if it goes on much longer he's missing the most important developement time in his whole career... It needs to be resolved soon but they could have this tied up with legal matters for a long long time.

There is a good article on RANT today i stumbled upon, worth a read: www.unitedrant.co.uk/archives/2006/05/mikel_case_rumb.htmlOne part i particularly liked was this: 'Quite who is paying both the team of lawyers, Mikel's five-star hotel bills and the agent Shittu is anybody's guess. Although RANT has heard on the grapevine that his legal team are from that renown chambers Abramovich, Mourinho, Kenyon & Partners!' ..because of course UTD wouldn't pay lawyers to take legal action upon themselves that alone kind of points out who is in the wrong.

What a great article. What happened to that article that appeared on 606 detailing the whole crime ridden mess. It was 2 or 3 pages long, appeared in the morning and had gone by the following day. Presumably someone got scared.

If he's said he doesn't want to play for United, he shouldn't be given the opportunity to wear the shirt, simple - Chelsea can have him...and he can have his 50k a week to sit on the bench.

I think people need to give him a break. He was doing what he thought was best for his family back in Nigeria, and he has no affiliation with United. Chelsea will pay him more money, and considering he comes from a Third World background, I'm not going to give him too much stick about it. Yeh, he's been a bit of a cock...but people are treating him like the devil. He's just a stupid kid, thats all.

I agree that he wouldn't be a good signing if he doesn't want to play for United, and if so then maybe he can run around the bridge fetching balls for the rent boys...

This saga has dragged on long enough without any real conclusion......lets look at the facts. He signs for Utd & wears the shirt at the press conference, next he's kidnapped by what appears to be the russian mafia & reappears sometime later saying "I love to sign for chelsea-please dont shoot my family"!- It all stinks of a young talent being herded into a holding pen along with all other prodigys across the planet ( such as Freddie Adu in the USA)- so that no other club can have them. It's about time FIFA & UEFA got off their padded arses and looked into just what the hell is going on here- it stinks of extreme;y sh*t morals from a blue coloured club in London-who, no matter how many players they poach, sign, threaten- will NEVER match the glorious treble we acheived with our skill, talent & hard work.......!
