From Sky Sports:
"There is no harm in dreaming of becoming the world's best," said Ronaldo.
"Playing with the fantastic players we have here, I am in a very good position.
"It is all about trying to be the best.
"I will keep working hard to achieve it but it is within my capabilities.
"I'm getting used to how defenders approach me and am a more valuable team player now."
We signed Ronaldo because the players told Fergie to. The last time that happened was when United players told Fergie to sign Eric.
I think Ronaldo gets a hard time because he has so much potential, and often doesnt come close to touching the surface of it. But from Feb-April this season he was rivalling Rooney as our best player. He's definately got it, but he just needs to keep improving. To think he's only 21 is absolutely amazing. Becks wouldnt have been worthy to clean Ronaldo's boots at 21!
And good for him that he has such a positive attitude though. I dont know if he'll ever be THE worlds best, but he'll definately be up there. I just hope he's still at United and not in La Liga when he realises all his potential.

I watch him play sometimes and some of the shots he has, the way he moves the ball is just amazing, i've never seen it before.
He comes so close with 3/4 shots just about every game, when he gets better consistancy which no doubt will come as he gets older, a lot more of these are gonna be flying in just like they did with Eric. ;D

i hope he gets consistancy to his game.. i rly do.. there have been a few games ive seen him play this season and last, and i jus think "wow". hes got somethin so special.. and then it gets spoilt a bit by him bein greedy, or lazy, or by havin little tatrums, or goin to ground too easily.. but hes 21, hes allowed to have faults in his game. there arent TOO many players who have been able to play like he does at his age.. so lets hope he continues to improve!

Figo is said to have been similar at the same age, in that there were questions of his end product and his consistency. He turned our properly world class and productive. Let's hope the same will happen for Ronnie, and we'll be the one's profitting rather than some rent-boy team in Madrid.

If Ronaldo would start passing more and stop insiting on shooting everytime he gets a sig if goal he would have the potential to be one of the best players in the modern game.
Also he should leave the free kicks to giggsy! He must be doing something in training both with shooting from distance and from free kicks that he just isn't reproducing in the game otherwise the management should be telling him to lay off a bit.

The thing is, the few times that Ronaldo gets his free kicks right, theyre unstoppable. I agree though, he's got to be doing something on the training ground, because for the % he gets on target in the games, he's not good enough to be taking them in the games. Getting them on target is vitally important. Forcing a save, and at least one of our other players getting a rebound. But theyre either screamers.... or miles over the bar.

The problem is if they're on target they're straight down the keepers throat or at a nice height more often than not. Giggs should be taking them and we should be looking to bring in a player who can strike a dead ball when we're considering players this summer.

With players like Scholes, Rooney, Giggs and Ronaldo on our team...ONE of them should be able to do it, lol. But they dont.

When Ronaldo hiyts them right they are amazing. I mean, the one that went in 3 different directions was amazing, off the top of my head i think it was against Portsmouth. But Giggs is also great with them. Personally i think Giggs should take them and Ronaldo should do some more work on them

I think that one was against Fulham, his goal against Portsmouth was the great strike from open play, I think that swurved a bit too.

I've always said Rooney and Ronaldo will be the best players in the World at some point in their careers, providing they stay on the right path. One of them though maybe disappointed if the other pips them to number 1.
