I agree.
In a way, I think it's a bonus for us. Look at Lampard, Makelele, Essien and Ballack...4 of the best central midfielders going. Every game, one of them is going to have to be dropped. It's only going to be so long before one of them goes "Fuck this, I can start for any team in the world, I'm not being benched"

Can't compare to Real. Real were deep in debt and they bought people based not on their footballing abilities, but on the amount of revenue they would generate, aka.Beckham. Chelsea buy people based on their footballing ability as they can afford to do so until Roman gets bored. Hate to be negative here so i'll way it up with positives, like you said he can only field 11 and look around the world people, we have the 2 most talented under 21's in the world, possibly with a 3rd coming up with Rossi and 4th if Mikel joins us. Not only that but we all know with money comes corruption obviously.. something will happen with Chelsea sooner or later which is gonna upset a fair few people, just a matter of time. They can't keep a squad of expensive players happy even on huge money.

Well I've read that Lampard is on £90k, as highest earner, and Ballack wants £120k. Cant see that going down too well... Roman has said he wants the club to be self sufficient within the next few years, but that will never happen with their wage bills NOW, let alone if/when they bring in players like Ballack and Shev. Terry, Joe Cole, Robben, Essien etc. will all be wanting more. And considering they made losses of £140 mill last year and only brought in £20 odd mill, Roman has got to get sick of throwing his money down the drain sooner or later...cos Jose just cant seem to do the job for Chelsea in Europe, which is where the big money is!

That would mean cutting costs.. in the form of offloading players, only a matter of time before a major injury comes along to Lampard, Makalele or Terry.. just like us with Gabby, Louis, Scholesy, Keano, Fortune, Neville and others.. they have had practically no injuries in the past few years, their luck will run out.

The biggest injury they've had over the past two years is Wayne sodding Bridge! Big deal! If they'd had the equivalent injuries to us, there's no way they'd have won the league this year. Take Lampard, he gets injured for a year, and they're done! They're play maker AND highest goal scorer!

Let's face it us losing Scholes and keano half way through a season is the equivalent of them losing Lampard and Makalele, if they were gona for half a season they would be out of it. John Terry would probably be their top scorer.

Yeh you're right.
I dont like playing the injuries card, because all teams have them....... but not Chelsea.

Next season should prove to be Chelsea’s biggest test boys, agreed? We’ve been rebuilding our squad, have the injured players back, we’ve got more drive and determination, summer signings. Not forgetting Chelsea slipped up on a few occasions, losing to Newcastle in their last game, etc. They’re not as unbreakable as they make out. Chelsea’s long ball forward and brick wall at the back won’t be as rock solid next season, that’s guaranteed. They’re going to get a title race, whether they like it or not.

Yup ;D My only concerns about next season are rushing Rooney back could have some really bad implications for us if it damages his foot further in the WC... and of course these new midfielders we bring in have to settle, but it can't exactly get much worse in central midfield after this season.

Yeh the most important thing is a good start, and we need Rooney around for that to happen.
