Looks like Howard will be at Everton next season for a years loan. Do people think he will return as our number one?

Van der Sar only has a year left on his contract now and will be about 36/37 when that's up won't he?

I personally think Howard is a great keeper and has loads of potential to be our number one for years.

I think the loan deal for Tim will prove invaluable for his development.
This maybe Van Der Sar's last season at United, and in Foster and Howard we at United have 2 young, talented goalkeepers who will be able to pick up Van Der Sar's gloves, and become United's Number 1 for years to come.
Foster will have improved massively and I have followed him in his time at Watford and he is a top quality youngster, the best in his age range imo, and future England number 1, surely.
Hopefully, and fingers crossed Tim will return from the blue side of Merseyside with some invaluable experience and ready to shine for United!

In his first season at United he was PFA Keeper of the year, beating Cudicini and Lehmann in the unbeaten season, so quite clearly, he's a great keeper. I think the experience will do him good...but I wouldnt mind Fergie finding another golden oldie just in case!

He’s a good keeper and has Tourette Syndrome I believe. Hey, at least he’ll have no problem sorting out his back line with his sudden outbursts.

I think he'll do great at Everton, and definitley come back better, he started off really well, but did go downhill.

I've always liked Howard. But what will happen to Richard Wright? He's had a decent campaign and I cant see him being a pushover. I see it as if Howard wants to be number one at Everton for the season, he'll have to earn it, like at United.

im, still worried about the goalkeeping sit at united. For me if Howard was that good he wouldnt be going to everton, he was like carroll making too many high profile errrors, v porto at home 04, lyon away 04 not good enough. For me despite howards first season heroics, van der sar has given us the good stability, and is the goalkeeping household name we have been looking for since the great dane. We should hang on to him for dear life until we get someone else for me it has to be bobby green from norwich for out and out shot stopper. If van der sar was 26 we wouldnt even be talking about howard

i think it is more a case of we cant waste time and money on another "good" goalie. i saw an old game on mutv the other day and the commentator was pointing out what a good game taibi was having.. well that didnt last long.
