Bang on there Scott
Remember we lost both full backs for a considerable length of time and this doesn't just effect the defence it effects the goals you score cos it's not very often your 2nd choice full backs are marauding down the line and knocking in good crosses.
Anyone got the time to put next to the following players there time in weeks out injured last season and compare it to any other team in the Prem.
Neville ?? Weeks Brown ?? Weeks Heinze ?? Weeks Smith ?? Weeks Scholes ?? Weeks Ruud ?? Weeks Saha ?? Weeks
I know it was a ridiclious season for injuries and it is a fact that Chelsea do not suffer as other clubs would cos of the quality they have replacing there first team players

Chelski took the foot off the pedal at the end, no point trying to delude ourselves into thinking that 'if only' we'd won this or that game, because the results are in a context, you cannot individually remove them from that context.
Aside from Scholes' injury the other position injuries were covered. Even before injuries to midfielders we had an obvious shortage of depth in midfield to begin with made worse by loaning midfielders out and releasing the club captain knowing we had no alternative other than a winger and a centre back. Either way you look at it it shows bad management and thinking.
