Sir Alex Ferguson has stated that he will not only just sign a new midfielder this summer, but will look to strengthen other positions if the right player is available.

"I always say with United that if someone turns up who we can't afford to miss, you have got to do something about it no matter what position it is," said Sir Alex.

Assuming he means young talents here such as Rooney, the Brazilian twins and of course Kerlon. Long may random quality signings continue!

I think he's saying the right thing. We can't afford to miss all these world class players like Ronaldhino, robben, duff, cole etc...

I know man utd were linked with all of them before Chelsea decided to show up #furious# I think if the right player available we should go for him .

Altough no more defenders please & need to get a midfielder before he should look anywhere else.
