Now we all have our gripes with Sir Alex for whatever reason it may be, allowing Queroz to much decision making, selling Stam and Becks, bad buys etc but I think we all agree on here that Ferguson is entitled to what we see as the odd mistake for all he has done for the club.
Now if Ruud leaves he will be cast in the shadows with Stam and Becks and people will say Fergie was wrong to sell our best goal scorer and it will be his fault if a new man doesn't come in and score twenty plus a season.
Now what if Ruud has lost his way, lost the yard of pace he used to get him into position to get away the first time shot, lost the dressing room due to moods and critising of the other younger players, lost the interest of giving his all for Manchester United and we keep him?
Ruud would get the obvious slating off us and Fergie would get out of the position he is in with having to make the decision to let him go for the benefit of the club.
But Fergie won't take the easy route, if he feels Ruud should be put out to pasture we MUST go along with his decision and not come back here in 6 months time giving him grief for it, many times during our teams transistion Ive seen Fergies credentials questioned by so called United fans, something I find hard to grasp but I do understand why although Fergie has answered all his critics and will probably do so for as long as he is in charge.
The outlook is not so bleak, even if Ruud did go now we are more than capable as a team to cope, where as 2 or 3 years ago it would have been unthinkable for us to challenge for anything without Ruud and for this we must AGAIN thank Sir Alex for what he has done for our club and building a team that can compete at the highest level for many years to come.

Agree with all that mate.
I will have a big problem if he sells Ruud to the Chavs though. Even if Ruud is passed his best, I think he is mentally if not physically, I couldn't stand it. In my opinion one of our main problems after getting rid of Becks was that his name didn't appear on the team sheet. Even though he too wasn't playing well at all the opposition reading that sheet would be thinking different.

I will agree to sellin Ruud if the gaffer deems it necessary but whilst Fergusons blood runs Red through his body he would never sell Ruud to the Chavs - MEDIA PATHETICNESS

Hope you are right. I can remember after Becks wet all the non United crowd telling me how we would regret it and how he'd come back to haunt us...no didn't happen. With Ruud I could see it happening though. I personally don't think he loves United as much as he says, has been totally dissinterested most of the year. If he went elswhere I think it would re-invigorate him and he would indeed be back to haunt us. He is going though so that's that. Onward and upward and keep the faith in Fergie, not much else we can do anyway really.

id like to see how he plays in the World Cup and it seems nothing will be decided till after then anyway so all this talk could be pointless.
The one thing and it's the only thing thats p!ssed me off Ruud are his performances against the Dippers (he knows what beating the scouse scum means to us) and the pathetic performance he put in against Sunderland.

I for one firmly believe SAF will sell him or keep him based on his world cup, if he plays well and proves he can still do so- he stays. If he does badly just as he ahs been for United then he's out. One thing is for sure he won't go anywhere unless there is a huge offer before the world cup.

That performance against the dead cat eaters was the beginning of the end I believe, totally uninterested. As you say, that game above all others is important to us (Fergie as much as us hates the Liverpoo attitude).

Sat next to an old fella @ OT against Sunderland and he told me they would be the hardest of opposition for United in the run in, I laughed in his face and then ate humble pie

The boss or not, great decisions down the years or not, lots of trophies or not, if he sells Ruud and doesn’t find another striker, then we don’t push Chelsea all the way for the title next season, people will be calling for his head and slating him for selling Ruud. So, if he is to get rid of Ruud, he needs to find a replacement, that’s for sure.
Next season should be very interesting.

I wasn't aware in that in the mid 80's when i started following Manchester United i had signed up to the Fergie dictatorship as well!

I wasn't aware in that in the mid 80's when i started following Manchester United i had signed up to the Fergie dictatorship as well! Certainly nothing wrong with questioning the decision making of any manager, if we love the club then we should be questioning but with the knowledge that we aren't in the locker room and don't deal with the players personally so our criticism is based solely on second hand information and what we see on the pitch. I think Fergie is a great manager and we should sing his praises but not forget that he's got a heck of a stubborn streak and his personal issues with certain players may have lead to some questionable transfers (except Stam, glad we didn't have him when he tested positive). United will be around after Fergie so we should always keep the interests of the club at heart. #unitedbanner#

Whilst Sir Alex Ferguson is in charge of Manchester United he will make decisions that are for the benefit of the club and not due to personal vendettas etc if that was the case i would have given up on him years ago
When he fails you / us then feel free to voice your concerns over his decisions, until then I believe we should back him all the way.
Feel free to expose me as a clown if we make no signings and aren't challenging for homours next season

Now I am not questioning Sir Alex' abilitites as a manager, he is by far the most able manager in the premiership today, and his success is a fact. He took a team of talented but un-disciplined players, sold some, bought some and turned Manchester United into the best team in Europe. That and his Champions league trophy, victory in the Cup winners cup, super cup, intercontinental cup, 8 Premier ship titles, 4 Fa Cups and a couple of League cup titles proves that he is unquestionably a legend.
However (Oh you all know it was coming), anyone who has followed Sir Alex' career at Old Trafford would have noticed his change of character over the last few years. He's rumoured to have been in more disagreements with his own players, he's been making more poor buys than before, and he has done a few sales that he should not have made. For example getting rid of Phil Neville, which in my opinion is something he should have done much more to prevent. As much as he is indeed an amazing manager and a legend, maybe it is about time we had some fresh air. And it's not about winning trophies, I don't want Sir Alex to leave based on Chelsea having won the league, because we haven't had that bad a season. But hasn't anyone noticed Sir Alex' moods, earlier in his career watching Sir Alex during a match could be as entertaining as the match itself, his passion being as great or at times greater than any fan in the stadium. These days you're lucky if you sometimes catch a glimpse of this passion, so many times you can look at him and the look on his face reminds me more of indifference, than passion, anger or happiness.
As for Ruud. I doubt it Sir Alex would ever let him go to the rent boys, although I don't doubt Ruud would leave us for them without a second though. But if Ruud is sold, as long as we get a replacement, I'd not care. He's a good player, and he has done well for us, but he hardly loves the club and the sale would be business, nothing else. My only concern is, is Sir Alex capable of actually going out there and getting us the player we would need to replace Ruud?
