You say 'we don't need panic buying' yet your calling for us to sign players just because Chelsea, Spurs & Arsenal have. You need to think again mate!

Yeah, let's not get like some crazy ladies on a spending spree at a 2 for 1 sale! Let's have some patience and let Fergie pick the players he feels would best suit the team he wants to build. What I am weary of is the big name buying I keep hearing about...maybe Chelski will bring Pele and Beckenbauer out of retirement and sign them to play as well.

I trust Fergie to have a plan to be honest. That's not to say I'm over the moon about the fact Chelsea have signed 2 of the best players in the world this summer though. But Ferguson isnt stupid. They'll be something in the pipeline. He's not going to sit back and not get anything sorted. He will probably be keeping it hush hush though, and Jose seems only able to sign big named superstars, or players Fergie has already shown an interest in.

Im reserving any critism until we get into July and the start of the season begins to loom. If we haven't made advances by then, then I feel we have a right to start being concerned.

Yeh we need to sort something before the World Cup. We dont know what goes on behind closed doors though. Fergie will get us the right man.

I'm not in the slightest concerned when we buy, it makes no sense throwing away money and if at this stage clubs are asking too much to sell players we should wait. And late buys are necessarily bad buys two very last minute buys that immediately string to mid Rooney and Yorke.

Yeh we need to sort something before the World Cup. We dont know what goes on behind closed doors though. Fergie will get us the right man. A number of reasons why he could be waiting which could work out well, first of course being Riquelme's release clause, his price isn't going up and there isn't much Villereal can do about that short of signing him up for a new contract. This gives Fergie extra time to watch Riquelme against different opposition at the highest level. The world cup could also prove a pleasant distraction for deals for those not in attendance aka. Diarra.. The attention won\t be on him and the media won't be sniffing around United deals so much whilst Germany takes the spotlight.. So.. either Fergie is focused on players outside the world cup, waiting for some to shine in the world cup, simply waiting for deals to be done as players involved in the world cup are busy or of course its anyone's guess with Riquelme.

I don't expect to see Riquelme in a Man U shirt next season.
My guess is that a deal has been done with the club for at least one, if not two midfielders, but it'll take some time because summer holiday/World cup issues are the priority for most players right now.
So, it might not be for a week or two yet. It might not be until after the World Cup.

well, i have faith in sir alex, i really do, but come on, you say give him time, have a bit of patince and dont panic buy, well i know he has bought some brilliant players at low prices but hwat about the flops...i.e. taibi, veron (28mill???), and kleberson...... and am i the only person that reackons 19mill was a tad much for ruud, when he was injured for a whole seaon??
i mean, dont get me wrong im sure fergie will buy the players, for reasonable prices, but i mean, we dont have as much money now as we used to pre-glazer, and he just has to be extra careful...thats all
