So, now that we are at the end of the season, what do you think of the reign so far of the new captain ' Gary Neville'.
Do you think that he was the right choice?
Maybe we got it wrong and there is a better man for the job, if so who?
What do you think he as done for the club?
Where would we be without him?
Do you think that he was the right choice? - At this moment in time and with the ages that some of the other players that we have got in the team are, yes. Sure, there are many other players in the team that can be a good leader, Wayne Rooney is just one of them, but it is not just about who can be good leader. Been a captain for me is so much more than that. There has got to be the up most loyalty there, they have got to show that they are dedicated to the club in the long term...Gary for me at the moment is by far the most dedicated and spirited player that we have got in the team, and although he doe snot show this enough, i am sure that in time, he will show that he is even better than he is at the moment, and it is this future development that is making him more and more appealing as his season progressed and will continue.
Maybe we got it wrong and there is a better man for the job, if so who?
No i dont think that we got it wrong, like i have just said, there is no more loyal player in the team and this is one of the key factors that had to be taken into consideration and i 100% believe, and back the decision to make Gary Neville captain right from the start. We have got it right, and we have not seen the best of him yet, now that he is settled into the new role that he as so well adopted to, he will only get better.
What do you think he as done for the club? - Well, what hasn't he done for the club? I mean, he is one of the greats in the team, he as been with us for a very long time and i am sure that this would of been a dream of his, and now that he as got it, i know that as well as been shocked, he will always be doing his very best in every minute that he gets that arm band on his arm. He is a very loyal, dedicated, Honorable and justified key player that as always been there for us through the good times and more importantly through the bad times, he is a true red at heart and he is the best man for the job at this moment in time.
Where would we be without him? - I believe that Neville has helped us through alot and i dont think that we would of had the season that we have without him by our side in the status that he as been involved in. He makes sure that we are always on the top of the game, and when we are down, he is always there to be the best captain that he can and make sure that he gets us back on top and gets the morale right back up. He approaches everything in the prefect mental attitude and he will makes sure that no matter what happens, he always reflects on the ups and the positives on the game, and never the negatives and this is just what we need.
But to be honest there is no reason why this is going to stop any one person taking a leading role in the team. There is no way that you have got to be the captain to shout the odds and look out for your team. It is a role that comes naturally and it is a role that is for filled by many at the club, Wayne Rooney, Rio Ferdinand, Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes just to name a few. This is just what we need, there is always that control there and there is always some form of leadership all over the field, it helps us grow, bigger, get better and ensures that we are always playing the best that we can in every game. A key and essential part of the club that benefits us to the up most credit.
