You would like to think so. If it is just 'a storm in a teacup' why was Ruud stopped from playing in the Charlton game? Its the fact he was asked or told to leave which makes me think there is more to it.
It has been rumoured all season that Ronaldo and Ruud dont get on. Maybe this last argument convinced SAF that they cant play together.
If you could only have one of them which would it be?? For me it would be Ronaldo. Ruud is a top player but Ronaldo has so much potential to be a world beater.

Potential versus Actual ? Ruud really is world class, ok he's had an off season (or two) but at least he is(was) the real deal. Ronaldo MAY be a great player one day, 3 seasons he's had and we are still waiting for a consistent end product. To be honest I would still take Ronaldo over Ruud as Ruud has blatantly been less than interested for ages.

Its not just potential versus actual though. If this was the case i would take Ruud. You also have to consider the ages. Ruud only has a few years left.
Its starting to sound like i want Ruud out, this is not the case!!! He will be near impossible to replace but if one had to go I think most would agree it should be Ruud.

Not the first disagreement they've had.
Ruud has made it very clear over the last 6 months how pissed off he was with making perfectly timed runs, only to have to check to watch yet another stepover. A big part of his loss of confidence and form imo.

If it came down to one of them leaving, I'd pick Ronaldo. His individual style of play is great, and fun to watch. I just question his team play. Ruud seems more about the overall than individual glory...

Ronaldo leaving?, he has many more years to shine at OT, at least if Rudd leaves we can get a good replacement as SAF has put a 20m price tag on him
