when sir alex finally decides to pack it in, hopefully a long time yet, probaly when he makes us great again, does anyone else fear that a lot of the players will leave with him, players that have come to united due to sir alex, i have a strange feeling players like our beloved rooney and the homegrown talent will leave, rather like george best when sir matt left it frightens me so heres for sir alex to stay on for a long time yet!

No I dont think they hate eachother. At the beginning of last season I saw an interview with SAF and he was saying that Rooney and Ronaldo have formed a great friendship and are the future of the team. He said that in training those two have mini competitions between themselves to see who can beat the most men or score the best goal.
Also if you watch at the Carling Cup celebration, while the rest of the team were spraying champagne, Rooney, Ronaldo and Saha were in a little group of their own with the cup just chatting and laughing.
So I think (and hope) they are quite good friends.

I don't think there'll be an exodus of players when Fergie leaves. It will also depend on how good a team we are at that point because sometimes the managers are the glue, but teams that have a good working relationship and a strong captain can endure managerial changes. United will bring in a great manager to replace him I'm sure so it's not like we'll have Souness as a replacement because if that's the case then yeah, everyone will pack their bags the moment the news is released.

As for Rooney hating Ronaldo, I don't think it was anything other than the competitive spirit that might have had them at odds when Rooney was at Everton. Ronaldo is a skillful player on the ball and I think it's probably frustrating to players trying to strip the ball, but when you're on the same team you're sure glad to have players with great ball control.

O'Neill will hopefully be the man to replace Fergie and it will be a smooth transition.

I don't think a change in manager would chance players ideas much, other clubs seem to have a new manager every season.
Not sure with O'Neill though, I'd like to see how he did with another Premiership team before joinning Unied, doing well with Celtic in Scotland isn't saying much.

Glad to see that Hearts came in second just for the sake of variety...

Fergie will always be at the club whether in a managerial capacity or otherwise so these players will remain, when he does leave though I wouldn't mind Mark 'Sparky' Hughes taking over.

The SPL is shit. All the teams in there inc Celtic & Rangers would struggle in the Coca cola Championship!
