I've not been able to decide all season either, but I think we should first start out with Rio and Brown, and then depending on how good either one of them is, if needed put Vidic in as a replacement.

Brown is immense, and at the moment wins the vote by a mile. His commitment to the cause has always been first class. His talent has never been questioned and his bone crunching tackles are admirable. When paired with Rio he has been the ultimate partner complementing Ferdinands game so well it has been reminiscent of the dolly and daisy days. I believe these two could even go on to become a more celebrated duo.
Wes's uncomprimising style allows Rio to play his more continental way of bringing the ball down and starting the attacking play from the back. Whats more is he is English so no language barriers either.
Im not dimissing Vidic though, I think in time he will prove to be a very good buy. He's only 24 and is built like a tank. His style is very similar to Brown's with his great no-nonsense tackling and how he throws himself in the way of shots etc. He gives a selection problem that has been missing for a while.
So at the moment I pick Brown, but Vidic is a good 2nd place.

A fully fit Brown is the best defender at United, he reads the game well, his passing is good, he is very strong, brave and has pace.

Vidic is still adapting so he's probably not at his best yet

Rotation isnt an option in Centre Defence, although they would keep each other of their toes

As impressed with Vidic i have been this season, it doesnt compare to supporting a manc who has been as loyal as anybody in the club (and the club inturn have stuck by him through his injuries). There is no arguement for rotation as this has caused inconsistency in the past. So ... i dont know :-|... 5 at the back ? lol

Vidic and Brown, sell Rio .Silvestre would be a good enough back up.Dont like Rio ,120,000 a week not worth it ..One goal against liverpool over a few years does not earn him the right for a salary like that...

Brown gets my vote. I like Vidic but I think he still needs a bit of time to adapt before we consider starting him.

I'd rather see Brown and Vidic together, Rio's a fucking liability!

Good question.
I like Vidic. He's got the kindof mentality and attitude I love in players. He's a proper nutcase at time, and a hard player. He'll make the crunching tackles. Rio and Wes have formed a great partnership this season, but Wes is very injury prone. I like him a lot, but once Vidic has more experience of the Premiership, I think him and Rio would be our best option.
