From Sky Sports:
"I am not frustrated," van Nistelrooy told L'Equipe regarding his United future. "I have not said anything until now, and I will continue to keep my own counsel.
"I let my agent manage everything about my future.
"I am just disappointed to have not been able to play in Roy Keane's testimonial but I didn't have any choice - I called him to explain and apologise."
Van Nistelrooy believes critical comments from Vieira in the Frenchman's book and also those of Wenger portray the pair in a bad light.
"I don't care," continued van Nistelrooy in response to Vieira's aspersions. "Obviously the incident that happened after the Man United - Arsenal match in September 2003 has affected him.
"To talk about it three years later with so much aggression, that means he must have been very frustrated. He can say what he wants - he's promoted his book very well.
"I didn't understand why Arsene Wenger let himself down like that. Maybe he wanted to put some doubt in my mind - some coaches are ready to do anything."
