From Sky Sports:
"The season at Manchester United did not end well for me and I was happy to make a step towards the World Cup with Holland," he said.
"I prepared myself properly and now I feel really good - I think my performance against the Ivory Coast proved that."
Van Nistelrooy is still in the dark over his United future, amid claims he had made peace with Ferguson,
"I still do not know what is going to happen at United. I still have two years left on my contract," he added.
"If the situation changes, I am sure I will find out about it, otherwise I will be going back to Manchester. But for now, I just want to concentrate on helping my country to do well at the World Cup."

It's nice to hear what I knew all along.

The word is that Fergie and Ruud spoke and worked out what ever differences they had but I won't believe anything until I see him run out on the pitch opening day.

I think it will be a long summer with a lot of twists before we find out if he will be staying.

More comments like that help us maintain our asking price for him.

I actually want Ruud to go - his performances so far in this world cup have only confirmed what I already knew about him - he's slow. In fact, the whole Holland team to me is garbage. So far, the only team I want to win it, apart from England is Argentina with our gabby

Ruud was back to his usual self on Holland. The way he broke that offside trap was the Ruud of old...and to say the holland team is garbage is a joke...Van Persie, Robben & Van Nistelrooy are a match for anyone's strikeforce in world football.

Ruud won’t ever be the player he once was, no aging player ever is, once that extra two yards of pace goes, you don’t get it back. Sure, he has a football brain, but he’s 29 now and isn’t getting any younger. If he’s to stay, then it is defiantly his final season.
We’ve lost great players before and have always found our feet again, losing Ruud won’t be any different.

IF I WORKED AT THE SUN I'D TAKE THIS COMMENT OF ''RUUD: BACK TO MANCHESTER'' AS A SIGN THAT DUE TO THE DETERIORATING RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN VAN AND FERGIE HE IS GOING TO SIGN FOR LOCAL RIVALS MANCHESTER CITY!...
