From Sky Sports:
"Gary should be in the dressing room, always," said Eriksson.
"There was a discussion before we went to Cologne [to play Sweden] because he might have stayed in Baden-Baden to work on his fitness level with a masseur.
"I said no because we wanted him with us even if he is not playing.
"I want him in the dressing room and on the bench because he's one of those fighters and leaders you need in a team."

As I said in my latest blog, only 8 players have been capped more times for England than Gary Neville! That's not just a coincidence, and it didnt happen by accident!

It's amazing that so many people cant see how good he is. Beckham has looked so isolated without the link up play provided by Gary. Then Beckham is a different story. Wonder how many England tops he shifts ?

I know quite a few people who are happy that carragher is play in nevs position while he was injured. i told them in no uncertain terms that carragher was a decent player but as a full back he isnt fit to lace gary's boots. i also think beckham has looked like he misses nev bombing past him down the line
