From Sky Sports:
"I would like the situation to be sorted out sooner rather than later," said van Nistelrooy.
"There must be some sort of contact between the club and myself over the next few days.
"As I have said a number of times before, if nothing happens I will be at Manchester United next season.
"Maybe in the coming weeks, we have to see what United do and whether other clubs get involved.
"Whatever will happen will happen. I have to assess the situation and see what is the best for me."
I think the shit has hit the fan for Ruud boi. I think he thought he was in control of the situation... but now that even Holland have dropped him, maybe he's starting to pull his head out of his arse and sort out things with the club he says he loves.

If the Dutch had reached the finals and Ruud had contributed more than one goal to their cause then he would have been left holding all the cards. As it is, he failed to impress in the Group games and wasn't called upon for the final game when chasing the result. So Ruuds left with the joker now all the cards have been dealt From Sky Sports: "I would like the situation to be sorted out sooner rather than later," said van Nistelrooy. Ruud will be welcomed back by all the fans and his team mates at OT, it's just whether Fergie wants him. C'mon Fergie, keep him!

Sign Torres, within the blink of an eye. Well, that’s just my choice.

It's a dangerous business, strikers who do well in Spain. Look at Forlan... totally flop in the Premiership, but great in La Liga. Morientes, but vice versa. I like the look of Torres, but I never think it's a great guarantee buying players from that league.

I honestly can't answer it. As most United fans do, I love Van Nistelrooy. But, you've got to say he probably has 2 seasons left in him and I'd like to see him finish them at United. So, if I had the option of keeping Ruud for 2 seasons then signing Torres, I'd take it!...
But, this will probably be the only chance United get at signing Torres, as if we don't someone else definitely will!...it's hard to say!...
I'LL LEAVE IT TO FERGIE!!! ;D

If we don’t sign Torres now, he won’t end up coming to us. No major club is stupid enough to let such a talent go to waste. And plus, his price will eventually rocket. Ruud is getting on now and we need a replacement for him, otherwise we’re going to be in this position next season, fretting over how we need a new striker.
Ruud has another year left in him at Premiership level I think. But that’s it. So, do we keep him for another year, knowing he might not deliver, as being dropped not just for club but for country has clearly affected him, or do we sell him now, and get the best possible price for him, because in a year’s time, we’ll probably get half as much for him.
I’m just thinking for the future, that’s all, building a new young team around Rooney and Ronaldo.
And I know I’d kick myself if Torres ended up at Chelsea or Arsenal. (If he’s stupid enough)

As good as Ruud has been for us, his stupid and not to mention childish behaviour has just gotten too much, every time he is subbed at Old Trafford or for Netherlands he kicks and screams like a spoilt little brat. He loves United? Nah, he loves the money, and he realised he couldn't get it anywhere else after poor play and even worse behaviour during the World Cup. I'm usually sceptical about signing players from Spain or Italy, but we need to get a replacement for Ruud, whether he stays or goes, I doubt it him and Sir Alex will manage to see eye to eye for an entire more season.

I was hoping this WC would have been good for him so he'd come out of his "slump", but it wasn't so now we really have to deal with a stronger likelihood of his departure. Ruud's been great for United, no doubt about it, but Fergie might be thinking ahead too and if Bayern are interested and willing to pay then it might be a good time to use that cash to get a younger player...I guess we'll have to wait and see. The prospect of Torres coming is exciting but there's always that factor of Spanish players not adjusting to either the style of play or the weather...lol. I still think that Torres is worth taking that chance.

The thing Ruud has going for him is he hasn't been shouting his mouth off since the incident and has always prompted he is a Manchester United player till he hears otherwise. Quite Galant behaviour if you ask me. Good on yer Ruud #rock# As good as Ruud has been for us, his stupid and not to mention childish behaviour has just gotten too much, every time he is subbed at Old Trafford or for Netherlands he kicks and screams like a spoilt little brat. I'm really hoping that ALL the deals were done before the WC like we were promised and just not announced. If so, and Torres is coming, Ruud will be off. BUT........... I doubt it. There are TOO many press speculations about different players and they're not concentrating on a few players. Mind you, the Daily Mail is quiet and that seems to be the one in the know. I think Ruud will be back at OT and Torres will not be coming. If SAF has a real belief in Rossi in about one to two years time, he'll use Ruud to cover him in the meantime, with Saha as his main striker. Which is OK with me if Saha stays fit. Nice as it would be to have another top class striker, I'd rather have some long term plans to replace Giggs and Scholes and some very very short term plans to replace Keane with REAL quality.
