Ronaldo was everything the england team wasn't, top class, the way he showed no nerves on the pens shows he has the temprament to play at the highest level, and before you all come on slagging him off and using him as a scapegoat i think you should be looking more closely at the 2 so called world class midfielders, gerrard and espescially lampard they were crap right through the tournament. Rooney finally lost it because these two tossers couldnt supply or support him, regarding the sending off ronaldo did no different than any of the england players would of if the roles were reversed. Gary Neville was the only man out there for england

Gary Neville was the only man out there for england I don't think anyone would question Ronaldo's abilities as a player, as a player he was very good today and took a very good penalty sa well. And of course England has no one to blame but themselves for going out at this stage, The question however is will Ronaldo be able not only to work alongside Rooney after he behaved quite frankly like a prick today, and secobndly is he going to be able to handle the reception he would get in ever away match United would play.

Gary Neville was the only man out there for england Ronaldo's penalty was quality, not sure he had as much impact as you make out though- he had more room when we were tired and down to 10 men. I agree regarding Gerrard and Lampard- they just don't look world class playing for England. Don't agree regarding Rooney- i'm not convinced he did much wrong- not to warrant a straight red. Personally i don't see the need for scapegoats- i thought we'd come along way since tethering the goat up outside the village. ;D

Ronaldo's attitude and conduct was a disgrace. I hope the Engalnd MUFC lads give him the greeting he deservers back at the ranch. Whilsy GN was very good the MoM was OWEN HARGREAVES. - and we are reouted to be offering 20 million for Carrick -

What do you want ronaldo to do? he was playing for his country and did exactly what the french players have just done after vierra got brought down, his loyalties in this game are with his country and so they should be. Who are the Engalnd MUFC lads ? I am sorry mate but you will find the majority of us fuckin hate england and there fans

We have made crap buys in the past purely on performance in major tournaments, spending cash on Hardgreaves on one match which he played well in would be another in a long line of crap buys.

For starters Rooney shouldn't have stamped on Carvalho in the nuts, right in front of the ref. England played in an uninspiring manner, like they have in the previous 4 matches against lackluster teams.
The ref doesn't really pay much attention to Ronaldo, who you can lip-read simply saying "look!" and not "give Rooney a red card", as many seem to think. It seems to me the ref had made up his mind on what card to show Rooney and was simply waiting for the complaints by players from both sides to stop before brandishing the red card.
Want to blame someone for England's shortcomings, then look no further than Sven and the two so-called "world-class" midfielders Lampard and Gerrard, who were nowhere to be seen during the match and the shoot-out.

We have made crap buys in the past purely on performance in major tournaments, spending cash on Hardgreaves on one match which he played well in would be another in a long line of crap buys. Hargreaves has not only won the champions league, not only proved himself on the international level but also in the german league has won plenty of titles, it is NOT just one match. If you want a nice picture to sum up the match today, look no further: www.unitedrant.co.uk/archives/2006/07/fuck_off_ronaldo.htmlI understand all this loyalty to your country stuff, but what about loyalty to friends? He didn't have to run up to the ref and ask for the sending off... You could see the way it made Rooney feel on his face, betrayal...
