There is a very real danger that Cristiano Ronaldo will be voted the fans' best young player at the World Cup despite his pouting, cheating, diving, pretty boy antics designed mainly to get himself a lucrative transfer to Real Madrid and thus avoid the good kicking he deserves from Wayne Rooney at MU training. He is currently 1st in the FIFA voting just ahead of Luis Valencia of Ecuador. I think that everyone who disagrees with his antics against the Roonster (what about that f*****g wink??) and Ruud, should go to fifaworldcup.yahoo.com/06/en/w/bypa/eligible.html and do the decent thing by voting for Valencia. It doesn't matter who you support or if you haven't seen them play, just stop Ronaldo - You know it makes sense

If you don't want him to stay then you want Ronaldo to become a hero, the abuse would firstly be much worse and then clubs like Real will jump at the chance to sign him after glittering at the WC.

I can't believe that any United fans would give a toss about what happened with Ronaldo in the england game. Most fans thought he was inconsistant and over-rated before the world cup started. He's got a 4 year contract left, he's gonna cost Real about 25 million, I'd bite their arm off for that amount. We could finally buy the 2 quality central midfielders that we're all crying out for.

THERE IS ONLY ONE RONALDO #worship#
I don't want him to leave, far from it.
If we could sign Torres too somebody quite rightly pointed out yesterday in a post that Manchester United would have 3 from the top 5 best young players in World Football.
Here's to Fergie Fledgings PART DEUX

Personally i'll be going on the site myself and voting for him if he has another good game tonight, he IS Portugals best player and if they win or get to the final he will be a big part of that but tonight is one of his biggest tests so far.. he's nearly 100% fit and against the French defence.

He is not a good player. He's a show pony that we could quite easily do without. He doesn't track back, he hasn't got a decent cross and we could do with any money we could get for him.

Yea but hes YOUNG, god, why cant people see that 21 means hes far from his prime, in 4 years he will still be young and 4 years can do alot to a player, he has the skills, hes sorted that, now he will work on harnessing them, work on his end product, Ronaldinho wasnt voted best player in the world at 21, Henry is immense, but wasnt recognised as that at 21, i give Ronny 2 more seasons by then he should be showing signs of upping the stats he needs to be th ebest, if not, if he hasnt improved, he will still be worth a bomb.
Why cant people recognize he has amazing talent :S :S :S

I've noticed that people seem to expect much less from Ronaldo then they would from someone like Rooney, although Rooney is actually a few months younger than him. I also noticed that people (most people, not everyone) either love him and think he is God's gift to football or think he's the most over rated kid around. Truth is, he's inbetween. He's a good player, he has talent and a lot of potential, however he is still a couple of years of maturing enough to be a reliable first team player. He's still not got the the spirit of team play down, and he sometimes screws up due to his selfish ways. This is It is up to Sir Alex to get this outta Ronaldo, and help him mature as a player. If he cannot do that, then Ronaldo should leave, if it can be done, he should stay.
Anyways, the topic was Ronaldo's possibilities of becoming the WC's best young player. To be fair he is one of the best youngsters in there, and he played well against England, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see how he does tonight.

Imagine our line up last season WITHOUT Ronaldo We looked pretty fucking lame with few options of breaking teams down without him in the side. Ronaldo played well against us and in the game against Mexico? but again wasn't as effective as some of the other players listed.

I agree with you about Podolski, I'd say he has prolly been the best of the youngsters, and seemed very reliable as well. Quite impressive all around. Damn it hurts to say that bout a kraut
