From 4thegame:
Manchester United midfielder Alan Smith's recovery from a broken leg is progressing well and he could be back in action by the end of August.
The 25-year-old broke his left leg and dislocated his ankle as he attempted to block a shot by John Arne Riise during United's 1-0 FA Cup defeat at Liverpool in February.
ALAN SMITH At the time Sir Alex Ferguson described the injury as "one of the worst" he had ever seen, but the Red Devils boss is now much more positive about the England international's prospects.
"Alan is doing very well and we're very pleased with the progress," Ferguson told the club's official website.
"But when he was injured in February we said he wouldn't play for six or seven months so he won't be back until the end of August, or early September."

That's gotta be good news. I can't beleive that he's one of my favourite players as he was Leeds through and through. Just goes to show how the cream comes to the top when decent people move to Utd.

Took a long time to like him being that I hate Leeds, but out of all the lads he probably tries the hardest and that's what you want. Problem is where will he fit in next season?

Yeah right. We need to fit him in somewhere there though don't we? He gave up on England to play in utd reseve's and fights for every ball. Where can we fit him in?
Anyway, we'll sign players before next season, I don't have any worries about that!
