Manchester United keeper Ben Foster claims he is in a win-win situation, as Watford wait to hear if they can take him on loan for a second season.
The youngster is extremely highly rated within the corridors of Old Trafford, but is behind Dutch international Edwin van der Sar in Sir Alex Ferguson's pecking order.
He was sent to Vicarage Road last term and produced consistent excellence as Watford confounded the critics to secure promotion to The Premiership.
Foster is currently on Manchester United's pre-season tour of South Africa, but could start the campaign with Watford and is ready to take on any challenge.
"I am still waiting to hear," Foster told Sky Sports News. "I am not sure what I will be doing next season.
"But, personally, it is a win-win situation for me whether I am going to be out on loan at Watford and get my season in The Premiership or am at Manchester United, hopefully looking towards the first team.
"It will benefit me more if am at Watford for a season. A year's Premiership experience will be invaluable really.
"But I know if I am going to be at Man Utd for another season working under Edwin van der Sar and goalkeeping coach Tony Coton, I am only going to benefit from that."
Foster would love the chance to help Watford silence their critics for a second successive campaign.
"The start of last season Watford were the favourites to go down and got promoted," he added. "It will be the same again, so that is what Aidy Boothroyd relishes - trying to prove people wrong."

The boy talks sense ‘’ another year at Watford will do me well ‘’. But I can’t wait until he’s back with us in honesty as he looks to have a bright future ahead of him.
