From Sky Sports:
"You cannot expect young boys not to make mistakes, which is probably why strikers come through a bit quicker than defenders," explained Ferguson.
"A forward can afford to make errors but, in defence, those mistakes cost you.
"By putting young lads out on loan, they get far more competitive football and also get exposed to the more physical part of the game.
"Hopefully, Johnny and Gerard will go out on loan and come back better players, just as John O'Shea did a few years ago."

I'm glad the youngsters are going to get some more experience, though I was hoping it would have been at OT but this may be better as they'll get even more time while on loan. I'm curious what clubs are interested.

To be fair, defenders at the moment are probably more likely to be gettin experience if they go on loan rather than stay at Old Trafford. We have so many defenders and it would probably do them good to play regular first team football rather than just reserve team and cups. I do hope they can stay in England though, so they can get to know the English league better.

Fergie might prefer Pique on loan at a higher level, then again he has mentioned O'Shea was loaned out at a lower level, might do Pique some good to roughen up in division one for a year.. possibly part of the Kuszcazk deal.

Robson mentioned that they want cash, a player on loan and a transfer if I'm not mistaken...we're getting rejected by West Brom...

I hope the player they want permanently is MIller, would be a kind of a 2 in 1.

west brom have the right to reject us as much as any other club. just because they are small doesnt mean when we go in they have to do what we say. my guess is they've asked for rossi on loan because us wanting something they've got is the only way they'll prise him away from SAF. i think it will be 1m, rossi on loan & miller permanent. SAF isnt daft tho so this could only go ahead after we sign a forward (pls be torres, dont let it be defoe) or as normal i could be entirely wrong and it is ole on loan and rooney perm

I was just a bit put off that this transfer didn't go easily despite it being the only one that appears to be materializing.
