From TribalFootball:
Manchester United defender Gerard Pique admits he risks the wrath of manager Sir Alex Ferguson as he prepares for Spain's U19 European Championship final clash with Scotland. The youngster has already damaged Scotland by scoring two goals in the group game and knows Ferguson won't be too pleased if he repeats the feat in this evening.
"I haven't yet spoken to my club manager, but I will speak with him when I return to Manchester on Monday," Pique said: "If we win the game, I don't think he'll be too happy.
"Sir Alex has become my second father. He helps me with everything. When I was living with a family when I first moved to Manchester, he would ask every day if everything was okay. He means everything to me."

well we wouldn't want to have Fergie mad at Pique since we all want him to be around a while...

I remember the story about one of the South Korean players who scored against Italy and ended up being sacked from I think it was Udinese, or Reggina or something.
Not saying this will happen here, of course it won't.

"He means everything to me"...sounds like a player that really wants to be at United and iot sounds like a manager who is still thriving on being the manager of this big club and will do anything to give his players what they need to fulfil theirs, his and United's dreams.
Good luck to Piqué though, it'll be great experience if he can win that tournament!

I hope he does, he looks a dead cert for the future and also Fergie would be happier if he had a cracking game and proved his worth, maybe scoring ;D than if he had a blunder of a match and proved he cant handle big games

Pique had a great game game, Influencial player and was involved in all the action. #thumb# Scotland looked good too, they really battled back in the latter parts. Almost a bust up after the Scotland goal.
