Amir Khan came through his biggest test to date as a professional against Laszlo Komjathi in Belfast.
The 19-year-old recorded his seventh consecutive win in the pro ranks, winning five rounds with the fourth being judged even by referee Mickey Vann.
Exactly a year after he last fought in the amateurs, the veteran Hungarian, who had won 24 of his previous 35 bouts with 11 knock-outs, proved a willing opponent.
Khan made a fast start with snappy punches and good body shots thumping into the 30-year-old's rib cage.
The Bolton fighter showed his youthful exuberance in the second with a slightly frenzied attack in the corner but he continued with his prolific work rate in the next.
However, the Olympic silver medalist was caught flush by a big right-hand in round four and Khan, who had only fought 14 rounds as a pro hitherto, faded over the second half of the fight.
Khan did finish with a late flourish and although the former European lightweight title challenger connected on a few occasions when the Lancastrian dropped his hands, the camp will be delighted with his workout.
Promoter Frank Warren confirmed after the fight that Khan, who had his last match in March cancelled, will be back in action again in July. ---------------------------------------------------------------------
He doesn’t seem to be doing bad, although I can’t help but think at times his style of boxing reminds me of Prince ‘the dick head’ Naseem and we all know how much of a cocky arrogant tw@ he became.

Naz was cocky right from birth fella! I have a mate who was a pro boxer (works as a bouncer now as he's banned) and he spa'd with Hamed. Hamed was giving it some being his usual clever self so my mate floored him Being too over confident always lead's to bad things. Which is why he wanted Barrera #Wa# Another thing with Naz was, he got easy fights organised for him. With Khan, they are building him up nice and slowly. Im tipping nothing but great things for the lad!

Khan has a bright future, but the English media has a thing of building youngsters up too much. It is happening with Khan and Rooney at the moment. Yes, they both can be world class and at the moment are showing great signs for the present and future. If the media can give these 2 guys a break then we will have 2 sporting legends on our hands who will fulfil their potential in front of our very eyes.
On, Hamed the Dick'ed. He's a prick, I was so glad when Marco Antonio Barrera slaughtered the cunt and I hope he comes back in the ring after being bummed in prison and gets knocked out again!

His boxing style does remind me of NAZ, but what reminds me more of him is his ever growing cocky attitude. You only had to watch his last match, he stuck his chin out as if to say, go on, hit me, then in an interview afterwards he said ‘’ I went easy on him ‘’ young and excited or not, cocky attributes are certainly there. He needs to be careful.

In all honesty though all boxers are arrogant and cocky. Naz went over the top with his cockyness, and he never had anything to back it up. All Meat, No Gravy!...Hopefully, Amir won't get too big for his boots as to speak and keep his feet on the ground.
