I really enjoyed the Porto match, obviously a ridiculous decision on Rooney. Still, good to see us beat the Portugese Champions without actually playing too well. Solksjaers goal was great to see =)
If only they still had Mourinho, it would have been a much more sweet victory!

surely if you get sent off in a friendly that it just means that you miss the rest of that game?

surely if you get sent off in a friendly that it just means that you miss the rest of that game? It depends on the ref and whether he reports the incidents to his FA then they send it on to the english FA and they decide on the punishment, if any. I'm not sure if it has any consequences for this tournie though.

It’s surprising how easy some Japanese is, as well as Chinese (as the PPStream is) you find yourself remembering certain words, making things that bit easier. I find myself watching the united matches via stream (presuming they’re not on TV or SKY) then at half time; I watch movies and what not on the other stream channels. ;D! i Turn the sound off most the time apart from matches at OT to hear the atmosphere etc. eastern commentary isn't the easiest to pick up

i was sorry to see the ref brandish the red card at Rooney, but i must say he did deserve it , but if rooney does miss the opening game against Fulham it is only fair that w.Samuels misses his too for his punch/slap against that Ajax guy i cant remember his name though.

i was really impressed with Evra today, its the best performance ive seen him have for us. Bang on. I think he'll be a really good player for us now that he's had a pre-season. He was good against Celtic too. It would finally allow Gaby to move into Centre Half which would make a huge differnce to our Defence. Also, looking at Foster again tonight, it begs the question, why do we need Kuzack? It's going to cost at least 3 mil to get him and we have absolutely no need of him. Makes no sense at all.

Rooney should have never been sent off, Scholes deserved to go, but with two yellows, not a yellow then a red. Gordon McQueen was right, he said ‘’The English FA will put the Rooney incident straight in the bin, and if they don’t, then it’s utterly diabolical ‘’ ‘’ as for the Scholes situation, they might do something about that’’
Personally I think they should just miss the rest of the tournament (despite whether the referee was right or wrong) it should NEVER be taken to the FA.

What the fuck! The bloody BBC news-ticker (on the FA-site) says that Roo is almost certainly facing a 3-game-ban if the Ref notes the incident! Scholes would be banned, too (but they say he got two yellows?) I watched the Scousers game (5:0 down ) one of them clearly wanted to hurt his opponent, then there was a row between the guys... the Ref simply told them to stop..... and Roo should be fuckin baned for 3 games... have everyone gone crazy?

We're not looking to move Gaby into left back he's the best left back in the world! Where does he play for Argentina? Where did he play for PSG? He's a great full back but he's a better Centre Half. Most of our defensive problems have stemmed from the centre back position in the last few years. Moving him would fix it. We haven't had a nasty, uncomprising Centre Half since Jaap was sent packing.

I think Vidic is more than capable than being such a figure for us in the centre of our defence, I would prefer to keep Gabby as our regular left back with Evra giving us a different option if need be.

What about Vidic and Wes. Should we sell them? Gaby was shite at centre back in the world cup shoulda been sent off on more than one occasion and wasnt. Rio and Wes/Vidic being rotated beside him will be great this season heinze shouldnt get near centre back
