Is Carrick back for the Spurs match? He's supposed to be yes.

I wouldn't expect Carrick to start though it'll be nice to ease him back give him a half or something. We can't be rushing players back if they are physically not ready.

Im with Redom on this, I think the team he's picked will play Charlton. I'll go with VDS Nev_Rio_Brown_Evra Ronaldo_O'Shea_Giggs_Richardson Saha_Solskjaer though I wouldn't mind seeing Rossi start with Saha to see how he gets on

Cristiano Ronaldo is expecting a tough time from Charlton Athletic Football Club fans on Wednesday.
Manchester United travel to The Valley for their first away game of the season, with fans up and down the country still remembering the part Ronaldo played in Wayne Rooney’s World Cup red card.
Whilst the Portugal international received a hero’s welcome at Old Trafford ahead of the 5-1 win over Fulham on Sunday, he knows things will be a lot different in London.
"The away games are going to be more complicated but I'm staying calm," the 21-year-old told The Sun.
"In the home game everything went well, it was relaxed, easy. But I do know the next game will be a lot more complicated as it's the first away one. I'll try to put it out of my mind and do my best."

The dawn of a new area!
VDS Nev Rio Wes Evra O'Shea Ronni D. Jones Giggsy Rossi Saha
Why being so conservative lads? I think the key to success against Charlton is pressure upfront! I don't think its clever to use our wingers out of position. So why just don't use the natural replacement for Scholes and Rooney? With Rossi we have a striker who links up well with the MF and Jones is a good man in the engine room. If the strikers and the wingers can build up some pressure there will be just long balls for their strikers! O'Shea will manage with no-pace-Floyd and Rio and Wes should be enough to keep Bent quiet!
Of course I know that this won't be the starting IX because Rossi and Jones played in the Reserves on Monday but I think its a pity. Why keep them in the first team when you're not ready to play them against Charlton? As far as I'm concerned, i strongly trust in the boys!

I'm really worried about this game tbh, not because it's Charlton but because of complacency after the start we've had and that was typical of utd last year. No Rooney and Scholes who are by far the most influential players in our team and with Spurs comming up we need to win every game going into it. I don't see us losing though, our defense is solid, It's upto how Saha and Ronaldo perform imo. Saha is consitant (when fit) I just hope we can count on Ronaldo turning up!

I know exactly how you feel mate. Although for me the Charlton game isn’t an issue, as I think (despite Scholes and Rooney out and as long as we don’t think it will be too easy) we will and should walk it. It’s the Tottenham game without them I am worried about.
