off to game tonite, will be arriving at Picadilly by train, what tram do I take to get to Old Trafford

The one heading towards Altrincham (I think). There are stewards on the station selling tickets who will tell you which one to get on.

You want the Altrincham bound met and you get off at Old Trafford. Or the Eccles bound met and get off at Exchange Quay. They'll be plenty of people around so just follow them. Get there in plenty of time though, because the mets will be packed... and there will be plenty of Celts around too. They like infiltrating the city centre when they come.

Yeah, Alty met to OT is the quickest option. Or you can get the 263 bus from Picadilly Gardens. Stops outside the Bishops Blaze.
