Im expecting a good performance against Newcastle from the lads, with their defencive woes and our attacking menace i think we could click into gear in this match.....
Predicting a 3-0 Win to the lads... with Rooney hitting form against a poor newcastle defence!

2-1 Prediction for me, I think it's a game we'll dominate but we'll get a modest scoreline.

I hope Fergie bites the bullet and picks this team: Van der sar
Neville…Ferdinand…Vidic…Heinze
Ronaldo…Smith…Scholes…Evra
Rooney…Saha Smith is back now. Let him OFF the leash, put him in the middle of the park alongside Scholes. Smith is the only midfield man who can give us that bite we're lacking. What's everyone elses opinion of Evra playing on the left wing? I think he would do a good job.

BTW, I really hope we win this, but thinking from a neutral point of view, I can see this game going either way. We need to keep the ball. If we're sloppy, we may be in for a tough afternoon. Hope not though. Come on United!

Smiths nowhere near fit yet as far as Im aware, not for the pace of the Premiership anyway, and why would Fergie drop Carrick?? As for the bite in midfield Id leave it with Scholes and Carrick. Not sure Evra's final ball is that good Im yet to be convinced on his distribution skills and Id play Richardson on the left before Evra but I think Fergie will prob play O'Shea or Fletcher on the right and put Ronney on the left. ------------------------------------VDS-------------------------------- Nev------------Rio-------------------------Vidic-----------Heinze Fletcher------------Scholes-------------Carrick--------Ronny ---------------------------------------Rooney------------------------ ------------------------Saha------------------------------------------ I hope Fergie bites the bullet and picks this team: Van der sar

I think evra on the left wing is an excellent choice since he played there for Monaco and with heinze back and swinging his arms we dont need Evra there no more (knock on wood). Im not sure if Smith is ready yet....on Manutd.com it still says that smudger needs time to be match fit

Not looking forward to this one, we normally beat Newcastle but we go into the game after Chelsea at Villa on staurday and will probably be 5 pnts clear. Presures on. I'd gutted if we played anything other that 442 and I want to see Rooney back upfront, preferably Ronaldo on the left and Solsjkear on the right, but Fergie doesn't seem willing to start Ole yet and will probably go with Fletcher!

4-1-4-1 has given us nightmares in the past, but how about this? Van der Sar
Neville...Ferdinand...Vidic...Heinze
Carrick
Ronaldo...Scholes......Rooney...Evra
Saha I've always wanted to see how good it would be Scholes and Rooney playing alongside eachother just behind the striker. Rooney is not a full-on out-and-out striker, more a creater in my opinion. Saha played the lone striker role for Fulham regularly and was perfect at it.

I'm glad we're playing Newcaslte.
We usually give 'em a good hiding at OT.

I'd like to see a similar line up but as others have said Smith isn't ready yet so leave Carrick in there as he looks like he needs more games. I'd like to see Evra tried there, Richardson has been awful in his last two games so why not? it's not a new position for him and I think it's a much better option then putting Ronaldo on the left and Fletcher on the right so give it a go I say. Does Bramble miss this game because of his sending off last week? if so that's a big plus for Newcastle. These are usually entertaining attacking games so I hope we can get back on track with a win, I'll go for 3-1.

we should win this one plus we will have had 2 days extra to recover from the european games as newcastle are playing tonight (28sept) so we should be alot sharper and this line up would be good
.................. van der sar neville... ferdinand... vidic... heinze solskjaer... carrick... scholes.. ronaldo ...............saha... rooney...
