I can't wait for this, I've applied for a ticket. I phone up OT yesterday and they've said the ballot has been delayed...I really hope I get tickets.
A little something I found to fire you all up for that game, especially the match goers.
Remember ALL of Anfield singing munich songs Remember the Kop doing aeroplanes Remember the Munich 58 banner on the Kop Remember scousers slashing straight members and scaffers home AND away Remember Main Road 85 & what was at stake Remember that we stopped them doing the "Impossible" Treble Remember ALL those flags mocking Munich at Heysel in '85 Remember 39 dead Italians and how they tried to blame everyone but themselves Remember the b*****ds throwing CS Gas at our players at Anfield Remember that utter UTTER c**t Kenney Dalglish Remember Anfield 1992 & how you felt after Rush scored Remember 3-3 in 1994 & how it felt like a defeat Remember the c**t spitting on Eric as he went to lift The FA Cup Remember Robbie Fowler and his four (now five) finger salute every time he scores against us Remember that giant FC Bayern München flag at Anfield in 1999 Remember Paul Ince (and all of Anfield) thinking he had denied us the Title Remember loosing Five on the trot against them 2000-2002 Remember The BBC hailing the plastic treble as some sort of achievement Remember them breaking the silence in honour of Georgie Best Remember rick parry bleating on about the NY honours and Paisley & all that other s**te, the f**king w****r! Remember scousers complaining on 5Live that Sir Matt only got knighted because he survived the disaster Remember how you felt on 29 May 2005
Remember all the reasons we hate them so much.
And never, NEVER forget that Liverpool are the Enemy

I feel confident about this game, but I also felt confident about the Arsenal game and we all know what happened.
the Dippers have been utter shite this season and have all but dropped out of the title race, unless they win this Sunday. So expect them to be fired up and expect the same from our boys. Big Lilly will be in the Stretty and the United fans will be in full voice.
I can see United sneaking it, I hope we win because a draw will feel like a defeat to me anyways...I can't bear to think they'll leave OT the happier so come on United, come on the fans. Get behind the boys!

You can't win it in any better way than we did last season. That was the best possible way to beat them, and Garry Neville what a LEGEND I'm never confident about this fixture, form goes out of the window. What we have to do is be physical early on and If we can stand upto them across the park we should have the players to win the game, we've definately got more quality than Liverpool, just hope we can get our kep players into the game!

It doesn’t matter too much to me about Liverpool’s current form. Arsenals form coming in to the game with us wasn’t good and they won. It’s all about what happens on the day. I had a bad feeling about the Arsenal game, so bad in fact I predicted 1 nil to Arsenal in the predictions league. I’m starting to feel the same with the Liverpool game. I just don’t feel confident. Although I’m sure with Gary back leading us, Giggs and Ronaldo on the wings and an eager Rooney up front (not stuck out wide left Alex) we’ll be ok… or will we. We HAVE to win.

I was worried against Arsenal too, however against Liverpool can't say I am. They really don't have the players with the quality of Henry, Fabregas, Rosicky, Gallas, Eboue and all. Liverpool are really overrated and at the start of the season I picked them to finish 5th and now, they might do well to get there!
I think we will win comfortably, I am going for 2-0.

From some of the comments made after the Arsenal game it seems our players went into it thinking it was going to be easy (or at least easier than previously) and they ended up getting a wake up call, hopefully they will have learned from that and will disregard Liverpools form and approach the game properly because we can't afford to lose any more home games against our rivals.
I don't feel particularly confident because you know it's going to a tight game and one freak goal or mistake can decide it but if we play to our potential and get our game winners into it then we'll give ourselves a damn good chance, I'll go a 1-0 win for us.

From the bbc Steven Gerrard will miss Liverpool's Champions League clash with Bordeaux on Wednesday with a hamstring problem. Gerrard suffered the injury during the draw with Blackburn on Saturday and it has not responded to treatment. The Liverpool captain has not travelled to France but he could still be fit for Sunday's clash with Manchester United. Mohamed Sissoko and Dirk Kuyt are named in the squad despite ankle injuries but Dan Agger (hand) and Robbie Fowler (back) are definitely ruled out. I just bet he's ready for United on Sunday

i feel pretty relaxed about this game.. its nice. i fancy us to win it.. but its jus nice to know the pressure is all on them, not on us. aside from pride, it isnt the end of the world if we dont win.. but for them, if they lose, it means they'll have lost 4 games out of the first 9! dnt get me wrong, liverpool are the team i wanna be more than any other in the league.. but ive got quite cool head about it this yr.. compared to the last yr tie at old trafford where i was a bag of nerves. 2-1 to united.
