Who was your man of the match for today's 1-0 victory over Blackburn?
Stats:
- Louis Saha got the only goal on 64' minutes.
- Vidic, Evra and Rooney were all booked.
- The victory put United back on top of the table over Chelsea by three points.
- Our next league game is versus Sheffield United - Saturday 18th November, 3pm at Bramall Lane.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Paul Scholes and Michael Carrick's partnership continued to blossom, they ran the midfield and were vital in United's victory.
Louis Saha and Wayne Rooney were also lively, Waz missed two easy opportunities at 0-0, while Saha got the only goal with a neat finish from six yards out. There form has shown Fergie's decision to sell Ruud could be the right one.
Rio Ferdinand and Vidic were solid at the back, while VDS kept another clean sheet. On the wings Evra and Neville were always a threat backing up Ronaldo and Giggs. O'Shea also came on and got involved into the build up of attacks with some superb passing and moving, his first good performance this season?
CRISTIANO RONALDO gets my vote though, he was always a threat. Getting fouled everytime a Rovers player got near him and creating opportunities for his team mates and himself with ease. Tugay should have been sent off for kicking Ronaldo, but he played with a smile on his face and run Blackburn ragged.

I’d probably go for Scholes again, closely followed by Ronaldo then Ferdinand.

I'm going for Scholes
reason: without him in the middle the midfield's crap.

Scholes for me. Ronaldo second, everytime he got the ball something positive happend, but some of his final product was off, shooting, a little crossing etc. Maybe if the weather was a little smoother it could have been a much larger win. This has to be the best performance for me out of the last 3 which have all been brilliant, they made Ewood Park their home and dictated the game all through, aside from about 2 minutes. Who saw Fergie when the goal went in as well? Like a little kiddy jumping around! Good to see

Scholes controlled the midfield so he gets my vote. Great ball by Giggsy too, but Scholes was the best over the entire match.

Scholes, with Ronnie and Vidic close behind. Vidic had a tough time there last year but was immense on Saturday. Again! Fair play to Fergie for spotting another really good central defender. Great qoute from James Lawton in the Independent about Vidic today "Vidic was so resolute, so hard that he looks like he's been quarried from a Balkan hillside." Marvellous!!!
