oh man...this is just upsetting...
Saha's been way to unlucky today....ronaldo not able to cash in on any of his tries...this was not our day to win...really upsetting and demoralizing!...GOD!!

i just knew saha would miss the pen i dont know why just did also the freekick they scored from was only given because of the crowd screaming for so the ref gave it also we were through 2 times on goal and was given offside when we were on side.SHIT!

Not good enough, we absolutely dominated them but we didn't create enough chances, the ref didn't help, he should have sent Balde off, there were two incidents where we were one on one with the keeper and wrongly called offside and the free kick was never a foul but at the end of the day we should have finished it ourselves and I wish Ronaldo had taken the pen, really disappointing but now we have to beat Benfica at home.

I can't see why Heinze was kept on for so long to be quite honest. 11/12 free kicks Ronaldo shoots the wall you would think he'd be able to get it over/past the wall more often. Where to even begin with Saha. Well we still have Benfica at OT right?

I dont think it will increase the talk of Celtic joining the Prem. They were shocking. Havent seen United dominate a first half like that since opening day of the season, difference was then we created and scored goals, but we didnt do that today. Poor and predictable penalty by Saha.
If Celtic had scored a legitimate goal, then I'd have to grin and bear this result, but it was NEVER a free kick. Neither teams created enough chances, United completely dominated play, and Celtic scored an incredible free kick from what never should have been. We needed a stronger ref than that today. He didnt award it, but then after the reaction from the crowd and players, bottled it.
Got to say, was very impressed with the United support. Completely outsung them for a lot of the game today. The commentator kept going on about a great atmosphere... but it was United chants being sung every time he said it.
One shit decission puts needless pressure on us for Benfica now.

i would rather giggs or rooney take our freekicks also we need more strikers to put pressure on rooney and saha we did not get rooney on the ball enough tonight either.

We did not dominate, it wasn't the referee's fault, it was a poor match and 0-0 should have been a fair result but in no way did we deserve to win the match. Saha was offside when he thought he was and just didn't hit it, but the linesman didn't call it offside, so you can't blame them.

Celtic were shit, proven what we know all along they'll get murdered in the latter stages. United played some superb football, I feel physically sick that we've lost that and to top it off got Spaghetti Bolognaese up my wall and a plate all smashed on the floor...now my Mum's going to beat me up  ! Well it makes the Benfica game a must win now, well a must not lose but nevertheless we'll need a win. And, I've got a horrible feeling that we may be going out of the tournament, I don't know why..it's just there. Why didn't Ronaldo take the penalty? He was our MOTM tonight, I just knew Saha wouldn't score it because of his earlier miss. Ronaldo - Euro 04, WC 06???..he should have taken it! |
