Citeh in "can play decent passing football" shocker!!! My God for the past few years they've rarely been able to string 3 passes together and today they got little triangles and Scholes-esque flicks going. WTF?! Maybe things are looking up for them what with the new investor supposedly going in.

a fantastic game today....a brilliant performance from Scholes, Ronnie, Wazza, Vidic and Ferdinand...perfect passes from Scholesy controlled the united attack and got us in everytime!...Saha with his persistent runs at the goal, Ronnie with his magic and Wazza with his aggression...the stage was all ours!!! Vidic n Ferdinand played key roles in our defence with Neville always right on time to kick the ball away...VDS did make me jumpy towards the end but hell we keep ourselves afloat and got the points!! We should've scored more goals...Saha missed a bunch of opportunities and so did Wazza...but in all it was a well played and well deserved victory!
ALL HAIL UNITED!!!

Did I just see O'Shea blamed for their goal? It was Vidic's fault although he had a great game apart from that so did the rest of the defence.
Louis Saha, Wayne Rooney & Cristiano Ronaldo all goalscorers today. Ronaldo played a great assist for Wayne to get the first and he capped of an all-round great performance off with a goal - despite Thatcher's best efforts to kick him out the game. Nice try, Ben but our Ronnie is made of stern stuff.
Not a very good performance, not the best of the season but a comfortable victory nevertheless. Nine points clear now, albeit with two games more played, and Chelsea will be under pressure for their next two games which are at Stamford Bridge versus Arsenal and Newcastle, I got a funny feeling they'll win both - but nevertheless it's nice to put them under some pressure.
We seemed to rush it a bit in the final third with Giggsy, Ronaldo, Saha & Wazza being guilty of playing the wrong pass at times or their execution of those passes being poor. Scholes was his usual great self, and Carrick pulled off another good performance - he's getting better the boy is.
Now let's sit back and wait for what this Press Conference is about and then Chelsea/Arsenal tomorrow. Come on Arsenal.

I was certainly joking about the goal being oshea's fault...Im just not the biggest fan of him

I think we could win something like 3-1 usually a few goals in the derby, im looking forward to it! ;D Got it right, Yes! ;D Maybe now they'll shut up about Ronaldo since Bernardo Corradi cleary dived Great score in the end. City were more into the game than i thought they would be. Saha had a bad game, Glad Ferguson took him off, but wasnt so glad that he replaced him with O'Shea! I dont like either of them at the moment...well actually i have never liked either them at all!! Saha could have done so much better though, Very disappointed with him. I thought Carrick was good, and Vidic had another great game. We've got ourselfs another three important points, Now when Chelsea look at the table before they kick off with Arsenal they'll see us on 44 points and them selfs on 35. They still have two games to play to catch up on those points, but ours arent going anywhere! They still have to earn theirs, so hopefully Arsenal can snatch some from them tomorrow.

Saha was terrible.. he's too greedy too. So many times he shoulda played an easy ball instead of trying to do everything himself.

I don't believe people are criticising Saha. He didn't have the best of games today but the same could be said about Rooney, Giggs & Ronaldo who when put into good positions in the attacking third gave the ball away far too easily, far too often in this game.

It wasnt only today his lack of passing had pissed me off. Being the striker we're sole dependant on must be tough at some point during the season, Saha's had more easy chances than he's had goals this season, thats the kind of player he is.. I'm reluctant to criticise him because you can't garuntee other players will be in the right places to create the amount of chances he does every game. Although the semi open goal that went approx a mile over was a pretty bad miss If he manages to improve his finishing a bit more, yuo can imagine how many more he'd be scoring.

Good entertaining match, we got the three points and played well, which is what matters.
Heinze looked a bit dodgy at times, and Van der sar was starting to worry me at the end of the match before we got the third goal, really hope we're not going to have another goalie suffering with confidence problems, something we really cannot afford. i would expect him to be fine again by the next match though.
Ronaldo had a good match, Rooney did too, Saha was not convincing today, nor was who he was subbed by comforting. Giggs was looking better again after having a couple of dodgy performances in the league... City played well, they challenged us, and it was a good match.

Not our most convincing performance but our goals couldn't have come at better times, there were a few too many misplaced passes today which allowed them to get their tails up and have a go, I thought the last 15 were going to be nervy because we looked like we might have been suffering a bit from midweek and City were gaining confidence but Richards getting injured and then Ronaldo's goal killed them off thankfully and now we can watch tomorrows game knowing either Chelsea will give us a bit more breathing room or Arsenal will drop even further behind us (which is hugely entertaining to watch) or maybe both.
Fergie said he's giving the players a 3 day rest now so hopefully they'll be nice and ready for the xmas schedule and get us through to jan safely when we can get those reinforcements we need.
