At the start of the season I thought Arsenal were going to be terrific at the Emirates stadium, what with the bigger, wider pitch. Their performances at home haven't been anything like we expect until recently.
This is our first match at the Emirates but hopefully it doesn't dent our record of four seasons unbeaten away at Arsenal. I think that is a very good record. The last time they beat us in their own back yard was 2001-02 season.
I agree with most of Adam's team selection, but I think Fergie will start Larsson up front again and maybe Heinze will get the nod over Evra for this game.
My prediction. I would love a win, I would love to say 3-1, Larsson two and Rooney with one. But, from a neutral point of view I have to say I think it will be 1-1. Rooney.

Van Persie is out for the game so it will probably be Adebayor again to take on Rio. I would change our defense and bring on Heinze for Evra because he scares shit out of the Arsenal kids. And I'd like to see Wes in for Vida just to provide Vida from covering the flanks again. I can see Larsson starting alongside Rooney because his bang on in big games and Rooney has beaten Senderos twice before. I think we walk away with a 2:0 win. I put my bet on an goalless draw between Liverpool and Chelsea.

There certainly seems to be plenty of optimism surrounding this game. The fact that the Gooners beat us 1-0 at OT adds a little spice to the occasion. If the Scousers do us a favour and beat the Chavs, then a win here will give us a 9-point cushion. I think SAF will start with Rooney and Saha up front and Heinze at LB. The large pitch should suit our style nicely. I expect Ronaldo to run at their young fullbacks. I think a 2-1 win would do nicely, with a late winner from Larsson.

Arsenal have suffered a blow ahead of Sunday's Premiership clash at home to Manchester United, with Robin van Persie likely to miss the game. The Dutch striker is currently the Gunners' top goalscorer - bagging five in his last six games - but looks likely to be spending a week on the sidelines after sustaining a knock in training. Arsene Wenger will be hoping that the 23-year-old ace will be fit in time for the Carling Cup semi-final derby away to Tottenham next Wednesday. Van Persie's loss could be Emmanuel Adebayor's gain, as the Togo striker is set to get his first start since Boxing Day. Adebayor scored the winning goal when Arsenal met United at Old Trafford in September. www.teamtalk.com==================== So, Arsenal could be without Gilberto AND Van Persie. Sounds very good so far. #thumb#

I think being without Gilberto and Van Persie will make it harder for them than when they had Henry and Van Persie out. At Old Trafford they were just weaker in the one position.
Now they have weakness in attack and midfield.
I think it will be interesting how well Fabregas plays if Gilberto is unavailable. Gilberto keeps that midfield tight, and when he doesn't play, they're not as strong.

Arsenal have insisted that Robin van Persie could be fit for Sunday's Premiership clash with Manchester United.
The Gunners meet United at Emirates Stadium in the second part of Sky Sports' Grand Slam weekend - as Chelsea face Liverpool on Saturday - both of which are live on Sky Sports 1.
Reports had suggested that van Persie would not make the big clash after picking up an ankle knock, but Arsene Wenger feels the Dutchman could be involved.
"At the moment we think it is a very short-term problem," said Wenger.
"He is going for a scan and after that we will know more about it. He still has a very good chance of being available for Sunday."
Freddie Ljungberg and William Gallas are still sidelined, but Emmanuel Eboude is fit again.
"Eboue will be available," said Wenger. "But Ljungberg and Gallas are still out

Keep FABREGAS quiet and we'll win I don't think it's like that against Arsenal at the moment, Rosicky tore us apart at OT before whislt Fabrigas was quiet for all of 89 minutes, i think now Gilberto is out, United need to push them back and cause them problems instead Make Fabrigas go deep and crowd Rosicky a bit..

The Arse will come at us at the Emirates which means we'll get chances. Rooney will score on Sunday, you just know it! 2-1 Utd, but it'll be nerve-wracking.....

i actually fear playin the arse more than i do chelski or pool ... like i think if there's one team capable of causing us real damage it could be them ... but with the way things are going at the moment ... i think a 1-0 game is on its way ... and Wayne will be there to do the damage COMMON BOYS !

Saha will start, try and bully Toure and Senderos/Djorou, with Larsson or Ole coming on later on.
