Apparently we won yesterday 2-0 and the standouts were Hewson, Brandy and a lad called Welbeck who's only 16. Supposed to be a very good prospect.
From manutd.com: U18s: United 2 Southampton 0 United's Under-18s progressed to the FA Youth Cup fifth round with an impressive 2-0 win over Southampton at Hyde's Ewen Fields stadium on Wednesday night.
Sam Hewson and Danny Drinkwater struck first-half goals to earn the Reds another home tie, this time against Crystal Palace, who beat Plymouth Argyle in their fourth round match.
United were the better team throughout and played some good football against a strong Saints side, that could have included 17-year-old Gareth Bale, supposedly a January transfer target for the Reds.
Sam Hewson put United in front on 23 minutes. Striker Febian Brandy had a shot saved by Southampton goalkeeper Matej Rondos and Hewson had the simple task of tapping the ball home.
Chris Fagan missed a golden opportunity moments later when he could, and undoubtedly should, have connected with Brandy's cross.
The second goal did arrive just before half time when Drinkwater converted Richard Eckersley's cross.
In the second half Southampton Jamie White forced a good save from Ben Amos and the visitors went close on numerous other occasions.
All in all, it was a deserved victory and the Reds keep marching on in the tournament.

He's a midfielder who's scored quite a few goals, and already played 5games for England's U17team, he's very well thought of by John peacock aparently... not sure where in Midfield he plays though, central I'm guessing

Thats a good result as Southampton seem to have been producing good youth teams in recent years. I heard a lot about Brandy. Anyone seen him? Is he as good as they say?

Good result as the saints have a good youth set up, Brandy is very small but very quick, we have some good kids but its how they develop in the next few years, one thing for certain if they dont make it at ot alot of them will make a good living out of the game and utd pick up a few bob in transfers.

Ah ok, I just assumed he was a midfielder because the few times I'd read about him he'd played midfield.
